$10 Tuesday: Kia Klips

by Kate on January 15th, 2013  |  5 Comments  |  Shopping, Ten Dollar Tuesday

ten dollar tuesday

Yesterday we dished about the best accessories for mom. Today? We’ve got the little ladies covered with darling handmade felt barrettes. Kia Klips are super cute hair clips made from wool felt over nickel plated snap barrettes. The 2 and 2.5 inch clips are perfectly proportioned for girls.

Sometimes doing my daughter’s hair can be a challenge because, well, she’s opinionated. But, clips this cute? She’d agree to wear in a heartbeat, and probably even sit still long enough for me to brush her hair. That = a mom win.

The Cherries are my favorite! What’s your favorite?

Shop! Kia Klips are $4 for single clips and $5 for a pair. We love the multiple discount option – 2 large Kia Klips for $7 or 3 large Kia Klips for $10.

Ten Dollar Tuesday: Tooth Fairy Pillows

ten dollar tuesday

Two weeks ago when we were in Sicily my son lost his first tooth. He’s getting so big!

first lost tooth

I was totally caught off-guard and unprepared. I had nothing. Aside from the lack of cuteness, the biggest issue was a practical one: How did we put the tooth under his pillow without losing it in the sheets? We improvised with a plastic baggie and the Tooth Fairy’s first visit was a success. But, when we got home I was on a mission to get a cute Tooth Fairy Pillow to make sure we’re ready when #2 falls out. (And it could be soon as he has another loose tooth!)

Affordable Christmas Outfits for Baby Girls

by Kate on December 11th, 2012  |  5 Comments  |  Shopping

Last year we rounded up some great Affordable Christmas Outfits for Baby Boys. It’s only fair that, even if one year later, we feature some Affordable Christmas Outfits for Baby Girls. Each of the outfits is low in price (less than $35) and high in the cute factor.

Of course, our first stop on the hunt is always Etsy. We love this Sunshine Frogs Aline Christmas Dress ($35) because you can add your little girl’s name and the tree fabric is lots of fun.

Doesn’t get any more perfect that the simple red and white stripes with green accents on the Avanell & Carrie Bell Peasant Dress ($23).

For the girly girl and ultimate photo op, we love the adorable Amy Leigh Designs Faux Necklace Onesie with Tutu ($29). We are big fans of the faux necklace onesie trend on Etsy. So cute!

Mud Pie is a great place to look for holiday wear, and we included a few finds in last year’s Boys Post. For girls, we love the Mud Pie Red Chiffon Dress ($30) and Mud Pie Ornament Tutu Dress ($30).

There are lots of last minute sales and deals at some big brands, too. We like the Crazy 8 Rosette Dupioni Dress ($22) and the accessories are super affordable, too. For a more comfortable and casual outfit, the Ribbon outift from Gymbo is adorable (Gymboree Ribbon Tree Bodysuit & Ribbon Cuff Pants) - and only $16 total!

Happy Holiday Shopping!
