30 Days of Toys: P’Kolino Multi-Solution Puzzle

by Kate on December 1st, 2011  |  5 Comments  |  30 Days of Toys, Shopping

Toy: P’Kolino Multi-Solution Puzzle

Get It For: Puzzling 18 months olds and older. We think preschoolers will like the challenge of finding different solutions to the same puzzle.

Why We Like It: There’s no doubt that puzzles are great activities for kids, but it can be difficult for a child when it goes wrong and they can’t figure out the solution. The beauty of the P’Kolino Multi-Solution puzzles, like the Alien pictured here, is that numerous configurations are “right”. There’s not one singular way to solve the puzzle. It’s encouraging for younger kids and creates some additional problem solving challenges for older kids. We like that the quality design and bright colors will inspire creative solutions and develop hand-eye coordination.

Shop! There are a number of P’Kolino Multi-Solution Puzzles with a suggested retail price of $19.99. We particularly like the Rhombot ($14.30), Owl ($17.45) and Alien ($18.62).Find this and many of our top toys for the holidays in The Shopping Mama’s 30 Days of Toys store.

Get It For: Four to seven year olds who love being active, or those who need a little encouragement to get out and move. There are also versions for older children and adults.

The Trikke Jogo lets kids enjoy a fun, physical activity while building their coordination, balance and agility.  The three wheeled design gives even coordination impaired (like yours truly) riders confidence that they won’t fall as they ride the Trikke like a classic scooter or in the unique Trikke carving motion.
