As mamas we’ve all learned the hard way that baby’s are pretty resilient. Nonetheless, we do every little thing we can to keep our babies comfortable and that’s what Crawlings are all about. The baby and toddler knee pads are a cute and effective way to protect a crawling or tumble-prone little one.

The knee pads are made of a soft and stretchy cotton/rayon/spandex blend fabric. There’s an elasticized band at the top and the bottom to help keep the knee pads in place. The pad is made of EVA cushion that’s pliable and won’t dig or scratch baby’s leg.

The back of the knee pads are vented for comfort.

Max is walking like a pro these days, so at this stage Crawlings are a colorful accessory. I would have loved to have the kneepads when Max was crawling! We have hard tile floor and, despite his perfectly designed baby knees, that just can’t feel good. The kneepads don’t hinder Max’s movement or activity at all, anything but some extra comfort. As summer approaches, the knee pads are perfect for little ones exploring the outdoors for the first time.

We think a pair of Crawlings is a super fun and original baby shower or new baby gift. Right now we’re loving the limited edition (and gender neutral) Left & Right Knee Pads, the Pink Striped Bandage Knee Pads and Baseball Knee Pads.

Shop! Crawlings are available in a variety of sweet, fun and colorful designs. Every pair is $22.

I mean, really need? For my family, it’s definitely a good step stool. And, when you think about it, it makes total sense that this is a necessity: all the fixtures, sinks, toilets and so on and so on are designed for adult-sized people. Day after day, our little one’s height doesn’t quite measure up to their independence and they need a little boost to get things done.

The good news is you can get an awesome Step Stool at a totally affordable price. At only $15, the Bumbo Step Stool is ready to give your family a lift.

The Step Stool has a simple, totally functional design. The top is covered in a textured, slip resistant material. The bottom bumps out to help provide stability and is also slip resistant. And it really sticks to the floor – I’ve tried to slide it across the floor with my foot to move it and it doesn’t budge.

It’s super lightweight and portable to move around from room to room. Ours makes the rounds on our first floor between the bathroom and the kitchen. The Step Stool is tested to 110 pounds, but on more than one occasion I’ve loved having the Stool in the kitchen so I can step on it to reach the top shelf. (And, I obviously weigh more than 110 pounds.)

Want to know one of the weird things I miss about living in Germany? Getting packages delivered to our home. Silly, right? But there’s just something about seeing the delivery truck stop in front of your house, hearing the doorbell ring and wondering what fun has arrived. (We still receive more than our fair share of deliveries, but now I have to go to the post office on base to pick them up. And that’s not just the same.) Citrus Lane takes the anticipation to a whole new level with monthly deliveries of a surprise assortment of the latest and greatest gear picked just for your tot.

How It Works

Citrus Lane is a subscription service that delivers carefully curated boxes of children’s products geared towards your child’s age. We know you’re getting the scoop on all sorts of great gear here on The Shopping Mama (wink, nudge), but the idea is that you’ll discover a variety of brands and products without taking the time to walk the aisles of your local stores or scour the web. Citrus Lane only includes brands they believe in and products that are suitable for your child at that stage – from birth and, as of February, through five years old.

When you register, you tell them your child’s birthday and, if you wish, you can specify the gender, too. And then you sit back and wait for your box of goodies to be delivered.

The Citrus Lane website has an awesome interactive feature to give you an inside look at past boxes so you have an idea of what sorts of things to expect, though each month’s exact contents remains a surprise until they arrive.

Citrus Lane Animal Parade Box

We received the Animal Parade box filled with animal-themed finds for Max to enjoy now or grow into. The box included a generously-sized Green Spouts Bib, Begin Again Blocks, Rich Frog Sponge, BabyBug story magazine and Plum Organics Teensy Fruits. While we’re familiar with most of the brands included, every item is new to us so it’s definitely been fun to try new things. Which, of course, is the beauty of Citrus Lane.

All three of my kids loved the Plum Organics Teensy Fruits and Citrus Lane makes it easy to track down more. Every box includes an information sheet with background on the box, a description of every item and purchasing information so you can order more of your favorite discoveries.

Citrus Lane Subscription Options

The price of your monthly delivery depends on the subscription you chose and shipping is always free. If you want to give it a try without commitment, go for the Monthly Subscription at $25 a month which is billed monthly and can be canceled at any time. A 3-Month subscription is $75 paid at once (so also $25 a box) and it renews automatically. The most cost-effective option is a 6-Month subscription that is $21 per month paid upfront with automatic renewal.

Citrus Lane also offers gift options so you can arrange for delivery of monthly “care packages for moms” to a friend or new mom.

Shop! Use code takehalf which will take half-off your first month’s box on a MONTHLY subscription (a savings of $12.50). Or, if you opt for the 3 or 6 Month Subscription, you can receive $10 off your order at Citrus Lane when you register through our link.

Back to School = Back to Illness.

As far as I’m concerned, parents should shop for school supplies and, simultaneously, stock the medicine cabinet. Back to school means exposure to a new classroom, new students, new cafeteria and new restrooms. All of these are a hotbed of bacterial and viral activity. To prove my point, here’s an account of our three closest preschool friends since starting Kindergarten just three weeks ago: one friend has had Strep Throat, one has come down with mononucleosis, and one has had a stomach bug. Thankfully, Kindergarten girl and toddler boy have been spared significant illness thus far. Yes, I’m knocking wood as I type.

That does not mean we have not been at the local “quick med” for each child already this school year. On different occasions, Kindergarten girl complained of “tummy trouble” and toddler boy had so much congestion he had difficulty breathing one night. Thankfully, they are both well.

The worst part about having sick children is the worry for their well-being. A close second? Getting an accurate temperature from a sleeping and/or cranky child. Enter the Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer.

I’ll admit that when my children are sick, I sleep close by and set the alarm to check their temperature each hour. The most difficult part of that is not the sleep deprivation, it is getting an accurate temperature from a sleeping child. They are sick. The last thing you want to do is wake a sick child, so I’ve tried forehead thermometers, underarm thermometers, and there is just no way to get a rectal reading without ruining a peaceful sleep. I’ll admit that many times, I rely on the “kiss the forehead” method. I believe that was Marie Barone’s preferred method and, compared to my previous thermometers, it is more accurate.

Not true with the Exergen TemporalScanner Atery Thermometer. The best-selling thermometer for three years in a row, this remarkably accurate device renders a temperature reading using a scan of the temporal artery or core body temperature that is comparable to a rectal reading. To use the thermometer, simply scan your child’s forehead from the midpoint to the hairline. Completely non-invasive.

As you scan, the thermometer acts like a video camera capturing naturally emitted infrared heat at about 1000 “frames” per second. It locks in the highest temperature it senses and, at the same time, uses patented software to compare this temperature with the ambient temperature of the site to accurately determine and display body temperature.

This next part of my review may seem like a silly thing to mention; however, I’m impressed that the Exergen thermometer uses a 9-volt battery. Last year, I needed my thermometer at 2 a.m. and the battery was dead. After searching three stores in my local area the next day for a replacement with no luck, I bought a new thermometer. With the Exergen, finding a replacement battery is not like searching for a needle in a haystack. That’s huge, to me.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer is a wonderful tool for the cold & flu season toolbox. Getting an accurate temperature in a non-invasive manner is what parents have been clamoring for for a long time. Available for less than $30.00, this thermometer is a bargain. Buy it now and tuck it in the cupboard. You know as well as I do that you will need it at 2 a.m. on a random Tuesday.

Or Not to Buy… Non-invasive. Accurate. Affordable. Can’t think of a reason not to buy.

Shop! The Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer is available from our affiliate Amazon.com for about $33.50.

The FDA just banned BPA in all bottles and sippy cups, but what about other toxins (like phthalates and BPA’s ugly cousin, BPS) that might be lurking in plastic bottles? We all want to do the best for our children and sometimes it’s hard to make sense of what exactly that is. For example, I don’t put our plastic sippy cups in the dishwasher, but I have no patience for washing dishes by hand. Every time I find myself washing a plastic item by hand, I think, “Maybe I could put it in the dishwasher — just this once.” I don’t know how I survived my pre-dishwasher days.

Enter Pura Kiki, the first and only 100% plastic-free feeding solution on the global market. I did a little happy dance when I learned that not only the bottle but the screw-on top were dishwasher safe. They are both made from #304 grade stainless steel and are independently certified to be 100% free of BPA, phthalates, lead, petroleum, and PVC. They boast zero migration of heavy metals, meaning the stainless steel will maintain its integrity and not leach heavy metals into your child’s drink. (It’s happy dance time again!)

Seriously, can this bottle get any better? Oh yes, it sure can. The screw-on top was cleverly designed to be able to accommodate a wide variety of name-brand nipples. Love Dr. Brown nipples? Maybe MAM or ThinkBaby or BornFree are your preference? No problem. Just pop one into the cap and screw on a Pura Kiki bottle. Pura even makes a sippy spout for when your little one is ready to transition from a bottle to a sippy cup, making this an even better investment. Not only will it save you money by not having to buy sippy cups, it will also save you precious real estate in your kitchen cabinets. Bottles and sippy cups (and all their accessories) take up a lot of space! And since the nipples and sippy spouts are made from silicone, they’re dishwasher safe, too.

Speaking of accessories, check out Pura’s silicone covers. They slide onto the bottle (use a drop of soap to ease it on) and help your little one keep a good grip on his sippy. It prevents any condensation from forming on the outside of the bottle, so it won’t easily slip out of your little one’s hands. It also acts as an ambient temperature barrier, so icy-cold drinks don’t mean icy-cold hands. And yes, the silicone cover is also dishwasher safe. In fact, you don’t even need to take it off the bottle.

“But,” you may say, “I wash everything by hand anyway!” Then you’ll be happy to know that the Pura Kiki has a wide mouth opening that easily fits a standard bottle brush (no more soap spraying in your face when you pull the brush out of a narrow mouth bottle — been there, done that!), and it has rounded edges on the inside to make washing by hand a snap. It also has internal raised volume markings so you can see how much your little one has drank. The Pura Kiki comes in 5 oz. and 11 oz. bottles.

“Okay, but what if I buy pink for my daughter, and then my second child is a boy?” No problem! Trading out the colored silicone covers gives your bottle and sippy cups a whole new look. These bottles are sure to last through multiple children.

The Pura Kiki is compatible with the following nipples and spouts:

Avent® Sport Spout

ThinkBaby™ Nipples

Born Free™ Nipples

Dr. Brown’s™ Wide Neck Nipples

Pura Vented Nipple in slow, medium, and fast flow rates

Pura Silicone Sip Spout

MAM™ Nipples

Pigeon™ Silicone Nipples

UPIS nipples

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… I can’t speak highly enough of these bottles and sippy cups. They 100% free of toxins like BPA, phthalates, petroleum, PVC, and lead. They don’t leach heavy metals. They are eco-friendly, convert from a bottle to a sippy cup, and are compatible with a wide variety of brand-name nipples and sippy spouts. The entire bottle system is dishwasher safe. And you can change the look of the bottle by mixing and matching silicone covers. Go ahead and buy it already!

Not to Buy… These bottles aren’t cheap, but when you consider that you are investing in a 100% toxin-free bottle that will also turn into a sippy cup, it makes the price tag seem more reasonable. And keep in mind that many new moms end up purchasing several different bottle systems because their baby doesn’t take to a certain bottle. With the Pura Kiki, you’d only have to invest a few dollars in new brand-name nipples instead of purchasing an entire new bottle system.

Shop! The Pura Kiki bottle system is available directly from Pura and from our affiliate Amazon, starting at about $14.

So it’s no surprise that the boon version of a nightlight is anything but average. In fact, it seems kind of silly to call Glo a nightlight because it’s really an art installation meets portable glowing baby-safe night lights.

Meet Glo

We’ve seen the light. And it’s awesome. Kids will beg you to turn off the lights because that’s when Glo really shines. This multi-colored, interactive nightlight has removable, illuminated Glo balls that turn a night time game of catch into something extraordinary. And there’s nothing electronic in them, so they don’t get warm and they won’t break. You can even tuck them into bed with your child. The glow fades to dark after 30 minutes, helping them fall asleep. Bonus: 95% effective at keeping monsters away all night long.

Glo Details

Removable glo balls act as portable nightlights

Select your favorite color with sliding lever or keep them circulating

Phosphorescent balls glow up to 30 minutes after removed from base

Glo balls and L.E.D. pedestals are cool to the touch

Low-energy L.E.D. base

9 volt power adapter included

BpA-free, Phthalate-free and PVC-free

Recommended age: All ages

Dimensions: 8.2″ x 8.5″ x 9.8″

Glo in Our “Nursery”

At the ABC Expo in the fall we had a sneak peek of Glo. To truly show off the product, the fun folks at boon set up a little dark room so we could play with Glo in all its glory. Malia and I had so much fun. And, at the time, if you’d have asked me where Glo would fit in our home I would have suggested my son’s room. I immediately changed my mind when Glo arrived a few weeks ago and it is now firmly established in its place in our home: our master bedroom.

As you know, we’re moving a few months after this baby is born so we aren’t creating a true nursery. Rather, the baby will stay in our room until we move. Even though we’re not creating a true nursery I do want to make a little nursery corner in part of our room for this little one and it now includes the Glo. But, I’ll be honest, even if the baby wasn’t staying in our room I think I’d want Glo in our room anyway! The modern design looks great in our black and white bedroom and it’s just plain cool, don’t you think?

Glo features a sleek design typical of boon products. It’s all white and has three arms each with a round “glo ball” at the top of each. The white base and the glo balls stay cool to the touch so you never have to worry about burning little fingers. The lights change color, which is pretty freaking fun to watch. You can adjust the light on a small sliding switch on the bottom of the base to pick one color, clear or on an automatic color-changing setting. The white setting also charges the glo balls so that when removed from the base they glow in the dark. The glo balls are light weight, BpA-free, Phthalate-free and PVC-free – in other words, they are safe for use from birth. And I also appreciate that the glo balls are light because, heavens knows, as soon as my son realizes he can throw one he will.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The boon Glo is more than your average nightlight. It’s a color-changing light that is a perfect fit in your modern space, whether a nursery or master bedroom. I love how it functions as a solid unit and the fact that the glo balls can be removed for little security night lights is pretty amazing. I really love glo and think it’s the perfect addition to our master bedroom nursery corner.

Or Not to Buy… Glo is definitely more expansive than your typical, plug-in-the-wall night light but it’s not a really fair comparison.

Shop! The boon Glo Nightlight suggested retail price is $85 – and it’s currently available from our affiliate Amazon for $69.

Or, are you looking for a way to make your family’s iTouch more toddler-friendly? Infantino has an awesome solution in the toy and app combination known as HappiTaps. We’ve downloaded – and the kids have played with – a countless number of apps and games designed for kids, but we’ve never seen anything quite like HappiTabs. It’s an iPhone / iTouch cover AND a free app that brings the cute bear cover to life.

What is HappiTaps

HappiTaps are the first-of-its-kind toy/app hybrid. A lovable teddy-bear friend that leverages toddlers’ newly found fascination with touchscreen smartphones and the classic comfort of plush, huggable toys creating a truly interactive, lovable companion. Put your iPhone or iPod touch inside a HappiTaps cover, download the free app, and voilà: the 21st century Teddy.

HappiTabs Features

Uses 3D computer animation in conjunction with the iPhone/iPod Touch cutting technology to create a toy that reacts to a child’s life moments

Over 150 different expressions to keep kids engaged and learning

Full of games and activities for engaging play

2 Play modes: Toddler Mode and more advanced Manual Mode

The cover features a lock for the home button to ensure kids stay within the app

Age recommendation: 18+ months

HappiTaps Video

The Beary Happi Teddy cover is compatible with iPhone 4S, 4, and 3GS as well as 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch.

Toy + App = Lots of Fun

The first thing you’ll notice is the adorable Beary Happi Teddy cover. In addition to being a cute bear, he protects the iPhone with lots of cushion. We’ve experienced a broken iDevice or two around our house, but I wouldn’t hesitate to hand over the iPhone or iPod to a child with this on it. The bear really comes to life when you download the app. The Beary Happi: Lovable Friend app is basically an adorable teddy bear who talks, laughs and interacts with your child. He’ll ask your child to scratch his ear, when you touch his nose it squeaks and that’s just playing with the bear.

There are actually a number of games and ways to play within the app. My daughter giggles at the bear playing Hide & Seek. My son likes giving Beary food during Feeding Time. I like Story Time – where Bear reads a story – and ABC Pop – which reinforces letter recognition. When my daughter plays with the app we place it on Toddler Mode which automatically goes from one game to the next and doesn’t require her to use the drop down menu bar to change from, say, the Expressions mode to Story Time. My son, on the other hand, is better able to control and maneuver between games on his own so he uses Manual Mode.

My daughter, not surprisingly, was immediately smitten. My son turned 5 earlier this month and he thinks that means he’s very mature and too old for some things now. At first glance, he wasn’t into HappiTaps because of the teddy bear appearance, I think. As soon as he saw it in action he wanted it all to himself. In fact, when he saw my daughter playing with it he said, “I want it because it looks so cool.” Safe to say he’s now hooked as well.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The combination of the teddy bear cover and toy with the actual app is pretty awesome. It’s one of the most interactive apps my kids have used and it kept each of them engaged and entertained for quite some time – certainly longer than some other apps we’ve downloaded. This is a great way to make your iPhone or iPod Touch a kid-friendly toy.

Or Not to Buy… The Bar Happi app has some in-app purchases which can add up. The first thing I did was turn those off so that the kids didn’t accidentally on purpose turn our free app into a costly one. The cover makes hitting the home button and some other functionality difficult to get to so is really best suited to using this app and not as a general cover.

Shop! HappiTaps Beary Happi is available directly from our friends at Infantino for $19.99 with free shipping. The Beary Happi: Lovable Friend app is FREE for download from the App Store.

About Radio Flyer

When our grandfather Antonio Pasin started Radio Flyer in 1917, his dream was to “bring joy to every boy and every girl”. Today, the Radio Flyer family continues that tradition by building safe, quality toys that spark imagination and inspire active play. From the original little red wagon to our current wagons, tricycles, scooters, and other ride-ons, our toys bring smiles to children and families around the world and create warm memories that last a lifetime.

Our Experience

I was super excited to have to opportunity to review this product. I have purchased many Radio Flyer products for my kids over the past few years and they have never disappointed. The Radio Flyer 4-1n-1 Trike was no different! I have a almost 4 year old boy and an almost 2 year old girl, and I liked that they both fell into the target age range of 9 months (yes, 9 months! ) to 5 years. The bike has a few safetly features that allow you to use it almost as a stroller with a removable all emcompassing tray, a 3 point harness, and a sun shade. Also, the pedals have a little knob you turn in order to lock them into place for when your little one isn’t able to reach the pedals, or not able to really pedal well. There is also a removeable and adjustable parent handle that turns the wheels and steers. There is also a removeable back rest that the harness attaches to that keeps baby sitting up nice and straight. I decided to test it fo rmy almost two year old, as as soon as she say the box she said , “My bike Mommy “. And proceeded to every day that she saw the box until we put it together. Speaking of assembly…

I will preface this section by a full disclaimer, I absolutely despise putting things like this together, and am completely useless at it! So much so, that it gives me a little bit of anxiety to even think about it. I really, really don’t like it! So, as soon as I opened the box and saw all the pieces, I called reinforcements, my dad, the ultimate direction follower and assembler extraordinaire. I did supervise, and with the help of my 3 year old and his own set of tools, and they had it assembled in about 20 minutes. Watching him, I did see him get stuck on a few steps, but he quickly figured it out. I then looked at the instructions and realized it probably would have taken me about an hour with my horrible skills!

I decided to have him leave the harness on for little miss, as she isn’t really coordinated enough to pedal well, and I wanted her to sit in the bike when we go on bike rides around the neighborhood, with me holding the handle and steering for her. We have a 4 year old brother to keep up with on the bike with training wheels Santa may or may not be bringing him.

We went for a quick walk, as it is so cold, and she really seemed to like it! I will say that I wish there was a ledge or something in addition to the pedals for her feet instead of just hanging them down, or trying to get her to keep them positioned on the foot pedals, which seemed to be hard for her. I think that she will get it eventually, however. What I like about this trike at the stage I will be using it is my son can easily hop on it right now as well, he just wouldn’t need the harness buckle. The buckle is removable if an older child is going to be riding it all the time, but since I want it set up for her, it’s just as easy to leave the buckle on but not use it if he wants to take a quick ride.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… If you are looking to try to buy only one riding vehicle with pedals for your little one, this may be your best bet! It has a lot of great features making it easy for you to use as soon as baby can sit up well!

Or Not to Buy… Assembly is a bit time consuming, but most toys are. Also, I do wish there was something else for short little legs to do when they aren’t pedaling, but this could just be annoying to me, and not the kids.

Shop! The Radio Flyer 4-in-1 Trike is available for purchase at various retailers, including Radio Flyer and Amazon. It retails for $99.00.

Strolling with the BundleMe

The Urban BundleMe could not have arrived at a better time; it has been unseasonably cold in Alabama. I know everyone in truly cold climates are laughing at me, but it’s amazing how quickly our bodies adjust to the temperature so our 40 degree days feel downright bone-chilling. Okay, now that my whining is out of the way, let’s get to the point. It’s cold and my daughter needs something to keep her warm when she goes on runs with my husband in the jogging stroller and the Urban BundleMe is just perfect.

I’ve been familiar with the JJ Cole BundleMe since my son was born when we lived in Germany (now that was a cold winter!). We didn’t get him a winter coat and instead relied on the BundleMe in a car seat to keep him cozy and warm. JJ Cole has expanded the collection to include a variety of fabrics and materials to meet the needs of different climates. The Urban BundleMe has a quilted nylon material on the outside and a super soft thermaplush on the inside. The result is an absolutely lush and fabulous sleeping bag sort of thing of which I am envious. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get any better than rolling around in a stroller cuddled up inside the Urban BundleMe.

The Urban BundleMe comes in two sizes – my daughter uses the larger of the two (the Toddler size). It has openings on the backside that make using it with different strollers a breeze. There are multiple openings to make it easy to fit different brands and different five-point harness straps. (We have another stroller liner and it only had set places that don’t fit well with certain strollers. That’s certainly not the case with the BundleMe.)

Here’s a close up of my daughter cuddling so you can see the quilted fabric. Looks cozy, right?

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The BundleMe is a must have for our runs and walks in suburban Alabama. I can only imagine how much of a necessity it is for urban families who stroll everywhere, every day. The BundleMe is truly plush and comforting for babies and toddlers alike. It’s a great way to keep a child protected from the elements and cozy and warm.

Or Not to Buy… The only reason I can see not getting one is if the climate doesn’t require this. (In which case, consider the BundleMe Lite.)

New Goodies from JJ Cole Collections

At the ABC Kids Expo we had a chance to catch a sneak peek of the newest items from JJ Cole Collections. We were impressed! The new JJ Cole Boutique diaper bags are gorgeous and the online photos don’t do them justice.

She is stubborn, willful, energetic and easily distracted. To say she has a mind of her own is an understatement. I realized that she is finicky. She doesn’t like my husband to take her to the bathroom in public because she doesn’t want to go in “da boyz room”. She wants to be comfortable and independent at home and the Little Looster booster has provided the boost she needed.

Meet the Little Looster

The Little Looster Booster has come to make toilet training easier and more affordable than ever. The Little Looster is the brainchild of smart, savvy Mom-preneur, Monica Mylet. She conceived the design and need for the Little Looster after parenting three children through the potty training process.

Fresh on the market, Little Looster is a revolutionary, uniquely-designed potty training accessory that provides the perfect support for little legs and fits discreetly around the base of your Loo. All grown-ups can use the toilet while standing or sitting without needing to move it out of the way. With the Little Looster, parents and caregivers no longer have to clean out those tiny potty chairs or fuss with a step stool that inevitably clutters the bathroom.

Little Looster Features

Provides total comfort & leg support for years of use

Promotes Confidence- no more fears of failing in

Allows children to have their hands free at all times

Now everyone can use the toilet

Doesn’t need to be moved for adults

Little Looster Review

The thing about the Little Looster is that it looks kind of funny – it’s definitely unique and unlike any other booster we’ve used – but it makes perfect sense. When I was originally trying to decide if we should buy a potty stool, I heard too many tales of little ones trying to balance on small stools and taking a little tumble with pants around the ankles. The Little Looster eases this concern because of its size. It literally wraps around the bottom of the toilet, providing a lot of support for little feet.

The Little Looster is larger than other potty stools, but we’ve been using it in a small bathroom and it hasn’t been a problem. It really only adds a couple inches around the bottom of the toilet. Another thoughtful feature is that the Little Looster has cut outs shapes so grown ups can comfortably use the same toilet without removing the booster. The white design is nice and neutral so it doesn’t draw any more attention to the giant potty stool than necessary. Oh, and since it’s in the bathroom, it’s also totally worth mentioning that it cleans very easily.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The Little Looster is a great booster for children toilet training and shorter toddlers who can use a little support. I really like that it provides support around to the sides of the potty, where a child’s feet naturally go, rather just a little square of support in front of the toilet.

Or Not to Buy… This is on the large size, so if you have a very little bathroom it might look like a little much.

Shop! The Little Looster Booster Step Stool is available at numerous online retailers, including our affiliate Amazon for $34.99.
