CurlyQ Cuties is, quite possibly, the coolest plush toy company ever. You design a monster – and pick everything from color to belly button – and they make it quickly and send it to you. Seriously cute (for a monster) and seriously fun.

Design A Moggin
I have to tell you that designing your monster is half the fun of CurlyQ Cuties . We designed a Custom Moggin and got to select 10 attributes including body shape, body color, face position, eye shape, eye color, nose shape, nose color, mouth shape, belly shape, and belly color. Yes, all of that! My son asked to do it over and over and over again and refers to the CurlyQ Cuties website as “the monster game”. We designed his Moggin, and then we designed a Moggin for his sister, and then he designed a Moggin for me… I think you get the idea. It’s really quite fun and extremely easy to do.
I let Preschool Boy have full creative control so he literally picked every detail of his Moggin. Isn’t it hysterical? I love that he picked the “Diva” eye for his monster. I think the Diva eye has a different meaning to a 3 year old because he just says his Moggin is “sweepy.”
Quality Plush Monster
We didn’t have to wait long to see my son’s creation, and, indeed, all monsters arrive within 10 days of being ordered. When the Moggin arrived it looked exactly like the image we created on the computer and the quality is top notch. Like all CurlyQ Cuties, our Moggin is made of anti-pill fleece and each embellishment is made of fleece and felt which are affixed and embroidered onto the monster. Preschool Boy loves his Moggin because he designed it and I love it because it truly is great quality and it’s certainly not your ordinary stuffed animal.
As you can see from the pictures, the Moggin is the perfect size for the kids. He’s great for taking on walks, cuddling and sleeping.

To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… CurlyQ Cuties are a great buy. The Basic Monster starts at just $25 – a terrific price for the ability to completely design your own, high quality plush toy. I think it’s a great option for a birthday gift and you can give a gift certificate so the recipient has the fun of designing their own.
Or Not to Buy… It’s hard to find fault with CurlyQ Cuties. The process is fun and the product exceeds expectations.
Shop! CurlyQ Cuties offer custom made to order monsters, Moggins, and adorable tooth fairy pillows. The Basic Moggin is $30, for more customization options the Deluxe Moggin is $40 and you can create a Double-Sided Moggin for $50. Use the code FRIEND for 5% off until March 31.

The only drawback I can see is that it is one more “thing” you need to have around for feeding time, and though there is a thin flap that you tuck under the Boppy, it doesn’t attach to the Boppy, which I would like to see in future versions of this product. I felt as if I was readjusting it a lot during the feeding, and would like it to feel more secure. One other note, if you are using this product, it pretty much covers the entire Boppy, which means the spit up now will land on the product, instead of the Boppy. Meaning, a water resistant cover for this as well might be in order in the future.

All the technology in the world is great, but if the bra is uncomfortable it’s pretty much worthless. The Allure Underwire bra is, luckily, quite comfortable. Nearly every bra in my life has been an underwire so I really like that Bravado! has an underwire option that was designed with lactation consultants. The wire is wide to distribute weight and not pinch your parts. I found the underwire to be unobtrusive and easy to wear. Another design feature I really appreciate is that when you open the cup to nurse, it reveals almost your entire breast so you don’t have to fidget and work around the bra to achieve the correct latch.
Back in the day when I was working single woman I used to spend embarrassing amounts of of money on beauty products. I could easily spend hours of time and hundreds of dollars shopping for high-priced shampoos, creams and lotions. Obviously, I don’t have the time or money to do that these days and my beauty routine is more focused on what’s quick, easy and affordable. I think Kroger read my mind when they developed the new health and beauty line called
mirra is designed with natural products AND to be effective. Because, frankly, sometimes I do wonder if extract of whatchamacallit or juice of random fruit is really effective in moisturizing my dry skin. So, the idea behind mirra is spot on in that it balances the use of natural ingredients and science to create a formula that works.
The Smoothing Daily Shampoo and Conditioner aren’t my favorite shampoo and conditioner. So, this may not shock you, but I don’t shower every day so I need my hair to look decent for at least two full days and by about mid-day of day 2 with this shampoo and conditioner my hair looked pretty greasy. I know, I know, I should just shower. But, that’s easier said than done unless I want 2 kids in there with me. I’m not sure if it’s the particular formula (Smoothing) or the entire line of Shampoo and Conditioner.
Tutu Pour Mon Deux is not your average tutu company. For starters, the tutu tees are not your average tutu. Rather, they are adorable tees featuring clever graphic appliques with an attached tulle skirt tutu. What’s even more noteworthy is the way in which
Erica says, “So how does a woman with degrees in fine arts and architecture wind up designing and selling children’s apparel? It all started with one daughter who is consumed with dress-up and dramatic play, and her sister who was born with a congenital heart defect which required corrective surgery four days after she was born.”
The final step is to select a accent ribbon. I picked a black tank top tee in size 2T with a pink skull patch, pink tutu and pink ribbon with black polka dots. Toddler Girl’s tutu shirt arrived very quickly and was just as I designed. And very, very cute!
To Buy… These are truly one of a kind designs – not only because you design from top to bottom – but because they’re unique. And, think of it this way: when you purchase a tutu, not only do you get an adorable Tutu Pour Mon Deux tutu tee, you also make possible a $10 donation to a very worthy cause.

As you can see from the photos, our Smaller shoes are adorable. The
Even though the Smaller shoes do not have solid rubber soles like the See Kai Run line, Toddler Girl has worn her shoes outside with no problem. They are still quite sturdy. Toddler Girl has the shoe in a size 12 – 18 months and while she’s 16 months old and usually wears a size 3 or 4 in toddler size shoes, they are still a tad big. Even though they’re a bit big, they do stay on her feet and I know she’ll be wearing them through the summer because of the adjustable hook and loop closure.
Pampers has redesigned and done a complete overhaul on the Swaddlers and Cruisers diapers and is launching the new
For the past week, Toddler Girl has been wearing the Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max. She generally wears Pampers Cruisers so I was able to compare the diaper with Dry Max to the standard Pampers. The diaper with Dry Max is thinner and the shape is a little different – the Dry Max is a little taller. When you open the diapers, the inside of the diaper looks a bit different. The original Cruiser has that webbing layer while the Dry Max diaper interior is smooth and purple, and the Dry Max tab is a little larger.
If you are looking for a unique wedding, bridal shower or housewarming gift, look no further than Spell-It-Out Photos. Spell-It-Out Photos creates custom letter art using photographs of things found in nature to represent each letter. The result is simply stunning.
We received the California Countryside ABCs poster for review, hoping the abstract ABCs would help Preschool Boy with his letter recognition, but I admit I was unsure if it would confuse him and go over his head. Thankfully, his reaction was a good one and he took to the poster immediately. He recognized some letters much easier than others and giggled at the swan making the shape of an S. He quickly claimed the poster as his own. The kind women at Spell-It-Out actually sent two posters so we took the second to my son’s preschool. His teachers were very appreciate and are excited to show the kids how you can find shapes and letters in unexpected places. The poster is really, really beautiful and obviously just as appropriate hanging on a wall in a home or office as it is in a preschool classroom.
