I SEE ME PHOTO

I See Me! Personalized Children’s Books has my son walking around the house acting like he’s a very late audition (try 15 years too late) for the role of Matt on You’ve Got Mail! Remember Matt? F-O-X. He spelled his name, “F-O-X” all through the Shop Around the Corner, almost blowing Joe Fox’s identity. Hey, the kid could spell. And now, so can mine!

All around the house. From the moment we received our sample copy of Goodnight Little Alex,” compliments of Plum District, preschool boy has been requesting it be read several times each night. And each time, he points to all the letters in his name each time they appear (which is every page!). He says he loves to see his name, literally, in stars.

In addition to being highly personal, I See Me! Personalized Children’s Books are also very well-written and beautifully illustrated. Written by Jennifer Dewing and Illustrated by Mary GrandPre’, Goodnight Little Alex tells the story of my son as he sails away to dreamland escorted by familiar literary friends singing him a lullaby. Friends from nursery rhymes and other children’s tales help usher him to slumber in beautiful rhyming pattern that children engage with and adore.

He loves it so much that, as I tried to snap photos of him reading and enjoying the book, he got upset that I couldn’t see the book and turned it to read to me!

This is not our first wonderful experience with I See Me! books. My daughter still loves “Jacqueline’s Royal Birthday Adventure,” which she received for her sixth birthday a little more than a year ago. Also written by Jennifer Dewing and illustrated by Valerie Sokolova, it, too, is beautifully written and features illustrations rich in content and magic. This tells me that quality is consistent across the I See Me! book offerings.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… I See Me! Personalized Children’s Books are, in my opinion, one of those PERFECT gifts. When tailored to an occasion, holiday or specific interest, these books can enthrall children in a way no toy can. Exceptional in quality, these hardcover and board books are sure to last and be treasured heirlooms.

Or Not to Buy… As an English teacher and mom, my children receive books for every occasion and milestone. Our Elf on the Shelf even knows to bring holiday books to spark the holiday spirit when she makes her initial appearance each year. I can’t find a reason not to buy a personalized book that would take the reading experience “to the next level” of engagement.
