Leather and Leopard

By Maureen |

Moto Jacket Leather and LeopardA few weeks ago, I wrote a post here at The Shopping Mama about how much I was loving all things Moto this year, especially this black leather jacket I recently picked up.  If you follow my blog, you’ll know that I’m pretty sure this pretty little piece was well worth the investment as I’ve already worn it so much!  It can be dressy, casual (like today!), and everywhere in between.

Today’s look is obviously a little more on the casual side, which lately, has been my “go-to” when it comes to styling my favorite outfits on the blog.  It’s just that I spend 5 days a week dressing professionally for work so my immediate thought each weekend is, what can I wear today that feels like pajamas but looks like a million bucks?!  Don’t get me wrong, I still like to squeeze in a dressy outfit here and there but today, casual has won me over.

In order to keep today’s outfit from looking so plain and ordinary, I added just a few extra special touches to make it appear as though it took much more effort than it actually did.  First, the leopard print satchel is here to steal the show, but in a good way!  I love neutrals and leopard print accessories just always seems to compliment them so well.  Second, the leather jacket will always give your outfit a polished look because it’s made with such a luxe material.  This particular jacket is both leather and  ponte knit which allows you to really dress it up or down, which I love.  Finally, tis the season to finally break out and wear your favorite boots!  I adore these suede boots for two reasons: they’re insanely comfortable and their slouchy leg is just what I’m looking for when keeping this look as laid back as I feel when Friday night finally rolls around.

So, while I’m sure the “fancy” bug will never completely leave me and my itch to dress up with always be there, lately I’m finding so much inspiration in the pieces that can be worn all throughout my wardrobe.  I love feeling comfortable in my downtime but that doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice my style.

Thanks again for checking in with me today and I hope you continue to check out my posts here and at my blog, The Northeast Girl!  I hope you have a great weekend!
