The Arden All-in-One Nursing Bra by The Dairy Fairy was created by a working mom who got tired of wearing unflattering and difficult to use nursing bras and rigging up her own contraption to pump hands-free at work. She created a bra that would meet the needs of busy, multitasking moms everywhere without sacarificing comfort or style. After one day in the Arden Bra, I was hooked. Pun maybe slightly intended.
Once I became a mother five months ago, I quickly realized that nursing my baby pretty much took precedent over everything… what I ate, where I went, what I wore. I lived in nursing tanks for the first three months and just accepted that flattering my still unshapely shape was way down on the list of important factors. Eventually I got tired of the nursing tank-smashed-boob look, even though it was quite convenient for nursing all day and night, and moved on up to a nursing bra under a v-neck tshirt, which has become my go-to look this summer. The Arden Bra is as flattering under a thin t-shirt as it is comfortable – that is to say, very! It provides full covereage, so there’s no boob spillage, and the wide fit around the back keeps that unfortunate back-roll to a minimum. The straps switch to racerback too, so you can wear it with any shirt. It’s feminine and pretty, with an elegant lace detail that I love. It looks like a real bra!
The Arden Bra is super supportive and very comfortable. It has thick adjustable straps and the cup snugness is actually adjustable too, to accomodate your full breasts or after-feeding drained breasts. It is a super soft cotton lycra/spandex blend, after just one wash it’s as soft as an old tshirt. It’s machine washable and doesn’t have any underwire, so it’s upkeep is simple. It comes in XS, S, M, L and XL, which accomodate sizes 32A all the way to 42G, and is available in four stylish colors. The website has a “fitting room” to help determine your size.
The nursing panel unhooks on the strap above the breast and comes all the way down, giving baby full access to the goods. The pumping panel opens separately and has an inner layer to hold your pump in place. It is designed to fit all common pump shields securely in place without fear of losing your liquid gold. The first time I used the hands free pumping feature of this bra I got on Facebook and shared this status immediately “Nursing Moms: Hands free pumping bra. Am I the last to know? Life changed!” I had always viewed pumping as an inconvenient drag, until I realized there was a better way. I won’t pump without The Arden Bra now.
Shop! Perfection comes with a cost, the Arden Bra retails for $68. It’s comfort and convenience, and it’s double duty role in your nursing life make it worth the hefty price tag. Check out thedairyfairy.com for a video demo to see why you shouldn’t live without The Arden Bra another day.
