Finding a great pair of shoes for kids to wear to school can be a bit of a challenge. As parents, we want shoes that will last survive the wear and tear of active kids and that manage to balance that with looking great and respectful of the school environment. Of course, our kids are just concerned that the shoes are comfortable and, depending on the personality/age, whether they look “cool.” Once again, KEEN has a fantastic youth collection that meets both parents’ and kids’ needs with rugged, stylish and comfortable shoes.
KEEN Sneakers for Kids
Last fall we learned an important lesson in my home: KEEN shoes are not just sandals for summer. Rather, the company offers shoes that are high in rugged quality AND style. (See: the Darby boot.) This school year, we’ve added a pair of KEEN sneakers into my son’s school wardrobe. The Maderas Lace shoes are lightweight canvas shoes with bold color. Technically part of the Toddler collection, they’re available in sizes 9 – 13 and totally perfect for my first grader.
On busy mornings, I appreciate the easy slip-on and velcro style. The laces in contrasting color, looped through recycled aluminum eyelets, give a fun pop of color and a more sneaker appearance.
Keen Kids for Fall
The Kids collection at KEEN includes everything from bungee style shoes to city-inspired boots to mary janes and sneakers. Kids shoes are available for Infants (size 4 – 7), Toddlers (size 8 – 13), and Youth (size 1 – 6). We’ve gathered a bunch of our favorites. Which pair do you fancy?
