Do you have creative and curious kids who like to discover, build and learn? If so, then you need to check out Kiwi Crate! If you haven’t heard of Kiwi Crate yet, it’s an awesome all inclusive box sent in the mail once a month, full of art, science, and activities designed for your little one.
As you can see my 4 year old clearly loves getting her green box in the mail every month!
When you open your box you’ll be greeted by their friendly little kiwi mascot and your theme for the month. I’m not sure what month box this was, we got behind on opening our boxes (I believe it was July).
It was water themed and had the supplies to make sailboats and water color creatures.
Inside you’ll find your supplies for each craft and easy to follow instruction booklets with pictures. The crafts are designed with different age groups in mind and are labeled with difficulty, parent involvement, and how messy they are. The pictures help even the littlest ones, who can’t read yet, follow along with the activity.
We usually only do one of the crafts the day we open it, and save the other one for another day. This day she chose the watercolor animals. For this particular craft she got to color her animal cut outs, and then spraying them with water to make the “water color” and marker bleed into each other to make pretty designs.
We’ve been getting Kiwi Crates for probably 6 months now and love them!. There are at least 2 activities in each box, but sometimes you get an extra “bonus” activity that’s always entertaining.
So now that you know how it works here is my list of the 10 things I love about Kiwi Crate!

To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… I recommend these to anyone with little kids! These are especially great for a busy parent who doesn’t have time to necessarily research a fun project, go out and buy all the items you need, gather all your supplies, before you can even start creating.
I consider myself a pretty crafty person and I’m all for coming up with other creative things for us to do but this gives us at least 2 crafts a month where I can relax and someone else them handle the grunt work!
Or Not to Buy… I really can’t think of a reason why anyone wouldn’t like this (kids and parents alike) but if you enjoy researching and shopping for crafts for you kids then this might take some of the fun out of it for you. The one month or single crate would be the best option for you to try it out before you commit to a longer plan.
This is not a sponsored post, we just really love Kiwi Crate!
