Radio Flyer’s newest outdoor toy may have four wheels like the brand’s iconic wagon, but that’s where the similarities end. The Ziggle is crazy and hyper in the most fun way imaginable. With a little wiggling of the handlebars and pushing with feet on the front of the frames, and it’s off!
Honestly, it’s rather difficult to explain it so it’s easier to show you. Check out our quick ZIGGLE video on Instagram to see it in action.
Meet the Ziggle
- Twist the front and wiggle the back, just get on and go
- Four caster wheels for a fun, fast ride
- 360⁰ degree spin out action
- Adjustable seat grows with your child and is recommended for children from ages 3 to 8
- Grip tape for feet provide added control
- Padded hand grips for comfort
- Solid steel frame can support up to 80 pounds
The Ziggle was easy and quick to assemble, which is fabulous because we were eager to give it a test spin. Literally, a spin because it does 360 degree spins with ease.
The Ziggle can move surprisingly quick with little effort. Like some other ride-on toys, it gets moving when you wiggle the handlebars back and forth. However, it moves much smoother and quicker than other toys we’ve used. My kids can even get it moving up the little hills in our neighborhood. I am clearly no Physics expert or mechanic, but I know when something works well – and this configuration works amazingly well. Both my 4 and 6 year old mastered regular zipping around and spins on their first ride. No frustration or tears, just lots of fun.
The seat is adjustable to grow with your child and we currently have it set to the smallest setting. It’s perfect for my 4 year old, but my 6 year old could probably ride just as well with the seat moved back a bit. The seat has a very short rise on the back (presumably, to allow the rider to lean from side to side), but it the top of it did bruise my son’s back a bit after a particularly speedy 720 degree spin. He couldn’t have cared less as he was so thrilled to have completed the stunt.
Now, go get your Ziggle on.
To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… The Ziggle is a blast! It’s perfect for zipping and zooming and spinning. It works markedly better than similar ride-on toys we’ve played with, and is surprisingly affordable. At $50, it’s truly a bargain for hours of fun it will provide. This is the perfect solution to get your kids outdoors and beat summer boredom!
Or Not to Buy… The Ziggle is best suited for mini-thrillseekers. If your tot is more slow-paced, another Radio Flyer toy might be a better option.
