When Max was just a few weeks old I ordered him the Cloud b Gentle Giraffe On the Go, hoping it would help to soothe him in the car because he was hating (HATING!) the car. Tranquil Turtle – Soothing Two Babies for the Price of One
Because of our positive experience with the Giraffe, I took pity on my dear friend Lindsay and offered her the chance to use the Tranquil Turtle as she, her husband and their eight month old twins moved drove cross country. Here’s Lindsay’s take on the Turtle!
Traveling cross country with 9 month old twins presents many challenges. The lack of available space definitely made packing for this event an ordeal. Unfortunately, much to my husband;s dismay, I like to prepare for the “what if” scenario. Generally meaning I pack more than necessary.
The twins have a sound machine and a night light that turns off automatically when we’re at home, but this meant we would have had to pack two separate items. The cloud b Tranquil Turtle combined both making the trip a little lighter. Being in unfamiliar rooms every other night was disconcerting for the boys and the gentle ocean sound with the moving aquamarine light calmed them and made bed time a lot easier for all of us. It gave daddy and I enough light to see by without disturbing the twin that wasn’t fussing.
The boys loved the turtle even when they were awake, they were mesmerized by the lighted shell, moving lights and the lullaby that can be selected instead of the ocean sounds. This was one baby item I am glad we had as it was a constant in an ever changing environment.
