On Father’s Day, Pampers partnered with Eli Manning to celebrate “Most Valuable Dads” every where at the New York Mets game (or as I like to call it, the Cincinnati Reds game). We were honored to be invited to participate in the fun day and experience a Father’s Day to remember.
Yes, in the midst of moving to Germany the boys and I flew north to New York City for a quick trip to hang with the Pampers Baby Board and take in a ball game. We literally moved out of our house Friday night at midnight and hopped on a plane at 6 am on Saturday. Totally crazy, right? But it was worth it and we had a blast. While we were gone my daughter spent a “Princess weekend” getting pampered and spending valuable alone time with her grandparents.
Father’s Day with Eli
Before the game festivities began, we had the opportunity to attend a small Q&A with Eli Manning. In case you’re not a big sports dork like me, Eli Manning is quarterback for the New York Giants. He’s a two-time Super Bowl winner and MVP and, more importantly, he’s the father to 14 month old Ava. I missed much of the conversation with Eli because I was being Max’s Most Valuable Food Source and nursing him in another room. Max and I did make it back in time to get a photo with Eli!
The weather was gorgeous and we took our seats to enjoy the game.
And then it was Eli’s big moment. He got a huge ovation as he walked to the pitcher’s mound with his adorable daughter to throw the ceremonial first pitch.
Check out a quick video from the day. Cue the cuteness, there’s lots of Ava!
Huge thanks to Pampers for providing my family with this wonderful experience.
