BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib Light 2 {Review & Giveaway}

We are rapidly approaching our move to Germany. As we continue planning and organizing we have to decide what is worth taking along with us as we do a bit of traveling en route to Germany where we’ll be living in a hotel for a couple days before settling into our house without our stuff. Sounds like a blast. Or the total opposite of a blast. The crazy near-month of living out of suitcases forces us to plan carefully and really think through what we need and can bring with us. One of the first things to make the cut? The BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib Light 2. It’s lightweight, easy to use and the perfectly little cozy place for Max to sleep. Whether you’re planning a trip around the world or a summer vacation to grandma’s house, the BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib is a baby must have.

BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib

The Travel Crib Light is seriously built for travel. Sure, it has the same high quality, simple look and modern feel we’ve come to love from BABYBJÖRN products, but it is extremely convenient and lightweight making it ideal for babes on the go. The entire crib, including mattress and carry case, weighs only 11 pounds. In case you’re keeping track, that is less than my son weighs. We love the travel case that keeps the Crib in a compact package with two handles for carrying.

When you get to your destination, parents will love and appreciate the super easy and quick set up. Once you master it, it’s basically one movement. As you can see in the Travel Crib video, it’s an easy, intuitive set up that takes only seconds. Once the frame of the Crib is up, you place the plushly padded mattress inside. The mattress creates a sturdy base that prevents the Crib from tipping. The Crib has a wider base than top and the legs are even wider so it’s a worry-free environment for baby and even kids as they are standing and exploring. It’s worth mentioning that the mattress is thicker than other Travel Cribs so it’s sturdy and a bit cushy. When it’s time to pack up, the disassembly is equally easy.

The Travel Crib Light is airy and made of safe materials. The cotton and polyester textiles are guaranteed harmless to sensitive skin and won’t trigger allergies. The Travel Crib Light Sheet (sold separately) is also organic. In addition, we love that the fabric can be removed and is suitable for machine washing. The mesh material ensures lots of air flow and a comfortable sleep environment for your tot. The solid material around the bottom means your tot won’t be distracted by things at eye level when trying to fall asleep.

Suitable for kids from birth through approximately three years of age, the Travel Crib Light is an investment is easy travel with your little one.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The Travel Crib Light is easy and perfect for travel. It’s lightweight, quick to set up for parents and is cozy and comfortable place for baby to sleep.

Or Not to Buy… We wish It had a longer over-the-shoulder handle or backpack handles for crazy on the go travel. Certainly, it would be a big shoulder bag or backpack, but it would free up a hand when on the go.

Shop! BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib Light 2 is available in Black, Silver and Blue with a suggested price of $300. The organic Travel Crib Light Fitted Sheet is about $40.
