Rockboard Scooter Review: Rock & Kick Your Way to Fun

If you’re looking for a unique and totally fun holiday gift for kids, teens, tweens or even adults, you must check out the Rockboard Scooter. But, be warned – this is NOT your average scooter. The Rockboard Scooter features self-propolsion technology so you rock on the board to move rather than kick your foot like a traditional scooter.

Meet the Rockboard Scooter

Propulsion is achieved with each rock, wasting zero energy and allowing the scooter to reach speeds up to 10mph.  The patented Rockboard Scooter comes fully assembled and can be folded to a compact size for storage.

The Rockboard Scooter is available in two sizes:

  • Rockboard Scooter: For ages 8 & up. 200 pound weight limit.
  • Rockboard Mini: For ages 5 & up. 90 pound weight limit.

Get Rockin’

The Rockboard is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. This scooter is crazy! It’s a two-in-one scooter that transforms easily from a traditional scooter to the unique Rock Mode. The Rock Mode uses propulsion technology which uses a steel power-drive chain to move the scooter. You literally rock back and forth on top of the scooter, not putting a foot on the ground.

If you want to do something a little more traditional, you can use the Scooter in Kick Mode and push a foot on the ground to gain momentum.

The scooter is made of ultra-sturdy aluminum frame. There’s also a reinforced handlebar with comfort grips. As a mom, I really like the strong handbrake on the handlebars that make it easy to stop quickly. The handlebar also telescopes up and down to adjust to just the right height. When you’re not rocking or kicking, the Rockboard Scooter folds compactly for storage.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… If you’re stumped for something super creative to get someone on your holiday shopping list, this is a great option. For adults, the Rockboard Scooter is totally fun and different exercise. Kids will love zooming up and down the street, rocking on the scooter like no other.

Or Not to Buy… If you plan on primarily using the scooter in Kick Mode, there are more affordable options. This is definitely only worth the money if you commit to the unique Rock Mode.

Shop! Rockboard Scooters are available from our affiliate Amazon for $199. The Rockboard Mini is $159.

Thanks to Rockboard Scooter for providing a sample for the purpose of this review.

That’s cool! My kids will need to be older, but maybe I can get it for their dad this Christmas? Shopping Dada scored major cool points with that riding attire.

I’ve been looking at these for my grandson. I love that they seem way more sturdy than the ones we have always had. I might even try this, looks like some good exercise!
