Woody Rocking Horse Review

The first thing you will notice about Woody is that he is not your mama’s rocking horse. Nope, Woody has sleek modern lines and a super simple design.  Woody requires little assembly and is ready for play in no time. (Parents, this is one Christmas Eve assembly that won’t have you up all night!) Once assembled and ready to rock, your little one will have a great time with Woody. The area where children sit is smooth and rounded providing plenty of comfort.

We also really like the foot pedals so your tot can rock in bare feet (like my little one) with less risk of rocking over toes.

Another feature I really like is the ends of the rockers are extended to prevent tipping forward or backward. We have an antique rocker and the kids can tip forward and land on their heads if not careful. There’s no tipping with Woody’s shaped rockers.

Knowing Woody is recommended for children 18 months and older I was worried that perhaps my nearly three year old daughter would be too big for it. As you can see from the video, this is clearly not a problem. She loves Woody and often asks to go “rock.” So she does. And she sings along. Watch and see!

 To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… Woody is a great holiday present for toddlers. The rocking horse is attractive for adults to look at and fun for kids to ride. We like the safety features like foot rests and rocker edges to prevent tipping.

Or Not to Buy… I’d love to see Woody offered in a dark wood finish as well as the light natural color.
