What I Wore Wednesday

by Kate on October 19th, 2011 | 4 Comments » | In Fashion & Beauty, Life, What I Wore

I really enjoy this weekly meme hosted over at the The Pleated Poppy, but have shied away from doing it because, well, my wardrobe is not all that exciting. But what IS exciting – to me, anyway – is the challenge of looking presentable while pregnant. If I find it a difficult to look chic every day sans bump, imagine my struggle with this belly! So I’m hoping to participate weekly as extra motivation to look decent.

Without further ado… here’s What I Wore on Sunday for church and a jewelry party at a friend’s house.

19 week baby bump

Dress: Max Studio from Filene’s Basement
Open Cardigan: It’s reversible! Warehouse sale in NYC last summer, but I don’t remember the name
Shoes: Furla from Rue La La
My daughter’s shoes: GapKids
Belly: 19 Weeks

You look great! I find it challenging to dress in the early stages of pregnancy and right after! I had two kiddos 15 months apart and my youngest is 6 months. So I feel like I don’t have any clothes. So I am also too shy to link up to What I wore Wednesday. I think you are inspiring me to be more daring!

Thank you, Melanie. You should do it, too, Melanie! I love the idea behind it – that it holds you a little accountable to wear something pretty and presentable at least once a week. :)

CUTE cardi. I love those light colors on you. It is DEFINITELY hard to be chic and pregnant. I never was, that’s for sure! That was before I actually tried, lol. I was a house and I just wore baggy stuff (it was the style). Wow I sound old. It was only 6-12 years ago. Anyway. You look adorable!

I swear maternity fashion, or at least my taste it in, changes faster than “regular” fashion. I CAN”T STAND the maternity clothes I have from my previous pregnancies – and it was only 3 years ago.
