Orbit Introduces Double Stroller: Orbit Baby Double Helix

It’s safe to say the biggest buzz at ABC Kids Expo this year was about the new Orbit Baby double stroller. Like the Orbit Baby G2 Stroller system, the Double Helix is unique and innovative. The Helix is a doubles kit add on to the Orbit G2 Stroller. If your family is using a G2 and expanding, the Helix Doubles Kit is a no-brainer. The extension attaches quickly to the G2 frame to quickly transform from a single to a double stroller and then back again. In addition to the additional seat, the Helix kit includes a longer stroller handle so you can easily walk behind the additional seat without impeding your stride.

We love that you can use the Toddler Seat or Infant Seat in either position and that both turn 360 degrees. The turning seat makes it particularly easy to put children in and out of the stroller and allows for maximum comfort and interaction between your tots.

The entire Double Helix rolls on six wheels and looks more cumbersome than it pushes. The Stroller has a great turn radius and is actually a delight to maneuver.

The Double Helix will be sold as a complete system or as a separate Doubles Kit in spring of 2012. The price has yet to be determined, but the good news is we’re told it won’t be the most expensive double stroller on the market. (Ahem, Donkey.)

It’s not yet available. At this time, Orbit is anticipating a fall 2012 release.
