Spring is in the air and we’re thrilled to share Le Papier Studio’s new Spring Collection! We’ve featured Le Papier Studio recently, but we’re back this time to showcase some of their darling new designs and products.

Explore the Science of Dirt at KinderCare Spring Break Camps

Spring Break. The two words evoke either sheer joy (if you have a fabulous vacation planned) or sheer terror (if you don’t). As much as I adore my children, the idea of spring break is a little intimidating to me because it means the daily schedule I’ve perfected to keep up busy and active is GONE. And I’m stuck with the mission of finding fun things to do that won’t cost a million dollars, be miserably overcrowded and (since it’s back to freezing temperatures) are indoors. I told you it’s intimidating! For other moms and families with no far flung Spring Break plans and active kids, KinderCare offers week long Spring Break Camps. Love.this.idea.

Science of Dirt Spring Break Camp

Throughout March and April all 1,600 KinderCare facilities nationwide will host the Secret Science of Dirt Spring Camp. Children will experience five full days of hands-on activities that gives children a worm’s-eye view of the world. Science of Dirt Camp is designed to help children respect and connect to nature and uncover the answers to questions children ask about the natural world.

Science of Dirt Camp is 5 days long and offers a preschool and school age curriculum:

PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM: As your child enjoys hands-on science lessons, veggie cooking, and craft-making, watch for a junior botanist to blossom!
SCHOOL-AGER CURRICULUM: Together with our experienced teachers, your child will plant and tend vegetables, make compost, create garden-related crafts, and (after clean up!) prepare tasty veggie treats.

If your child is currently enrolled at KinderCare there is no cost for the program, but fees for other kids vary so contact your local facility.

Going to Camp

My 4 year old will be getting his hands dirty at Science Camp and I can’t wait to hear about it. I hope he likes it and does well in a full-week program. He’s going to school five days a week in the fall so this is actually a good little test run for him. I’ll let you know how he likes camp because KinderCare also offers a variety of Summer Camps.
