Could your skin use a little extra nourishment this winter? Meet Nourish Baby Organics, an all natural, organic skin line for baby and mama designed and created by an aesthetician turned work-at-home-mama. Melissa Vines grew tired of trying (and failing) to treat her little one’s eczema with the natural products available, so she created her own.
After trying bottle after bottle of “natural” skin care on my baby’s sensitive skin I decided to take matters into my own hands and formulate my own recipes for pure and organic skin care to use on him. I used what I learned from being an Aesthetician for the last decade and some herbal remedies I studied to start Nourish Baby Organics.
Naturally Soothing Ingredients
Nourish Baby Organics products help manage dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and more. The products are gentle enough for sensitive skin because they are made with all natural, organic and non-irritating ingredients. On Nourish Baby Organics’ web-page you can find descriptions of the benefits of the ingredients such as: “Beeswax- helps to seal and protect the skin which makes it a great treatment for diaper rash.” Plus, with yummy scents like coconut, lavender, and sweet orange you can be natural without smelling like you’ve embraced the earth mama persona (unless you want to).
My little guy doesn’t really have too many skin issues except for the occasional dry skin but we’ve been using the Organic Coconut Balm for diaper area irritations (they aren’t really enough to call rash) and what I like to call “crawler’s knee.” He smells amazing after using both the balm and the Organic Coconut Wash. (It’s more like really yummy cookies than tanning salon, if you were worried.)
We used the bath wash in the bath for a while, but I have now reserved it for diaper wipe spray. If you don’t use cloth diapers and wipes, that probably sounds weird. I use cloth wipes that I store dry next to the changing pad. When I go to change the little man, I spray down his dirty area with a diaper spray and then wipe with a cloth wipe. Mixing the Organic Coconut Wash with water makes the perfect diaper spray. It leaves him clean and moisturized and smelling of good things.
I’m a sucker for a pretty package (or an interesting one anyway) and I kind of dig the Nourish product packaging. I have my bottle of wash displayed on the bathroom counter.
To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… Nourish Baby Organics products are perfect for anyone looking for more natural skin care options for their little one (and who isn’t). The coconut products we tried are so moisturizing and make Jack smell good enough to eat.
Or Not to Buy… Nourish Coconut Wash isn’t a big foamer…like other non-irritating products. This is a good thing for anyone dealing with dry or irritated skin, but some people (Dada) may miss the bubbles.
Shop! Nourish Baby Organic washes and balms are available for $14.95 or in large 32 oz refill sizes for $42.95 directly from Nourish Baby Organics or at select retailers.
