Douglas Toys Review + Giveaway

Most of the time, when we are asked to do a review, I think to myself, “Oh, my little ones would looks so cute in this, or they would really like to play with this”.  Well, this time, I accepted this totally based on my own childhood dreams, and hope my daughter will thank me when she is a little older. I LOVED stuffed animals as a little girl, and always dreamed of having a huge stuffed horse! So when I was asked to review the Pinto horse by Douglas Toys,  I turned eight years old all over again and said, “Ummm, yes!!”

I was very pleased the moment I saw the pinto horse when I opened the box.  She is just what I my daughter has always wanted! Seriously though, the horse is so soft and cuddly, both my daughter and my son immediately wanted to snuggle her.  She doesn’t stand, as she is so plush her legs aren’t meant to be firm enough for standing. Though, I love that she looks like a sweet foal who would be laying with her mama.  I am sure that when baby girl is older, she will insist on this horse living with her in her bed each and every night.  In the meantime, my son is enjoying riding the horse around the house.  The horse is an impressive 36 inches long, and seems very lifelike.  My only complaint is simply that my daughter isn’t old enough to appreciate her fully yet. But I know she will love her in a few years!

There are so many beautiful, cuddly kid’s toys available from Douglas. They are quality stuffed animals, and if you have a snuggler at home, he or she will for sure be instantly in love with one of the many options. Some of my absolute favorites are the Sillo Purses, girls toy purse, and for the boys- cool toy dinosaurs.  There are plenty of affordable gift options for almost any little one on your holiday shopping list.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… Realistic, quality stuffed animals and toys can get fairly pricey.  The pinto horse from Douglas, and all the Douglas toys for that matter, are reasonably priced, and are a great gift option for the holidays this year. If it were 1985 again, I KNOW this would have been on my list!

Or Not to Buy… The only reason I can think of not to buy if you are in the market for a cuddly friend, is if you are looking for a specific animal that Douglas doesn’t make. But with so many different options of cats, dogs, horses, dinos,  baby plush toys,  and others – you are sure to find something!
