Savvy Savings & Scholarships is Going National

You may have noticed the Savvy Savings & Scholarships widget on my sidebar for the past couple months:

I want to bring your attention to Savvy Savings & Scholarships because it’s such a cool program – and it’s growing. Starting mid-September the program is going national!

What is Savvy Savings & Scholarships?

The Savings: Each week, we offer parents a significant savings on a fun, family-friendly activity selected by our Savvy Source editors. Once enough people have signed up to purchase, the Savings and Scholarships offer becomes active.

The Scholarship: Beyond giving parents in our communities a great deal on a fun activity, we donate 5% of each purchase to a preschool of the purchaser’s choice. We also donate 5% of each purchase to a scholarship fund created to help parents afford preschool for their children.

What This Means for You

If you live in a major metropolitan area across the US, make sure you check the widget each week to see the local savings. You can register now now to make sure you don’t miss a deal. You could save 50% off karate lessons for your daughter or half price zoo membership  – the deals are new each week, but they are always worth a look and always family-friendly activities. As I mentioned, the program is expanding in a few short weeks so they’ll be even more opportunities for great savings – and scholarships for your local preschool.
