Danielle of A Few of My Favorite Things put together a beautifully colorful and festive birthday party to celebrate her twin daughters’ first birthday. There are so many wonderful details and thoughtful touches that it’s hard to feature them all!
The invitations set the tone with a darling photo of Gabrielle and Alaina in tutus and butterfly onesies. The invitations were designed by Double E Design.
The party was on the rooftop patio of the family’s apartment building and the weather cooperated – what a beautiful setting. Danielle added lots of color and feminine flair with homemade Pom Poms based on a Martha Stewart tutorial.
The food and sweets spread looks amazing and Danielle was inspired by cupcake displays and sweet tables by The TomKat Studio. (Aren’t we all?) Danielle’s cupcake stand from was Wilton and she added colorful polka dot ribbon to add interest and color. The cupcakes were decorated with personalized cupcake toppers from Lil Boo and Co. There were also picks with mini pictures of the girls made by Peanut and Pumpkin Designs with actual rhinestone and little poms on them – so many darling details!
The desert table also featured a gorgeous cake from Flourpatch Bakery and yummy looking homemade marshmallow pops. Delish!
If you read A Few of My Favorite Things, then it’s no surprise that Alaina and Gabrielle were dressed to the nines for their big party. For the cake smashing eating they wore birthday “1sies” with matching hats and tutus. The birthday shirts and hats were made by Peanut and Pumpkin Designs. (Yes, the same woman who created the food picks!) The tutus were from Tutu Cute Designs.
The lucky little ones who attended the party went home with personalized buckets filled with butterfly crayons and other fun craftiness. The buckets had 3D butterfly tags from Mary Had a Little Party.
