Swim Lesson Success!

by Kate on July 20th, 2010 | 26 Comments » | In Weekly Features, Wordless Wednesday

There’s no way this is going to be wordless because I am SO PROUD of my little guy. He’s had a rough time at swim lessons until last week. He had a sudden turn around and now he’s a CHAMP. He seriously went not trying and crying and screaming every time it was his turn to swim. But for the past two lessons he’s been a pure joy, trying very hard and doing an awesome job. I’m so proud of him!

My little swimmer!

I look forward to seeing your photos!

So what changed? Do you have a secret to share with us? Because sometimes Lucian gets freaked out by stuff so I’m definitely curious.

And good for him! I’d be the proud mama too!

I wish I could say it was some perfect motherly advice or words of wisdom, but I bribed him. With Dinosaur Train toys. He didn’t want to lose them, so he actually tried in last week’s class and I think all the positive reinforcement made him realize he could do it if he tried. So, now he’s hooked!

That is fantastic that he has made a turnaround. Walking on foamy floaties looks kind of scary – but he looks happy.
