Planet Pudge Birthday Blow Out T-Shirt Review

I get a kick out of buying birthday shirts for my girls to wear throughout their birthday month, and they get a kick out of it, too. Little ones feel extra special in a shirt that tells the world that it’s birthday time! I have been eyeing the Planet Pudge Birthday Blow Out T-Shirts for almost a year now, so you can imagine how excited I was about the chance to review one of these hand-sewn beauties. Each tee is made with super high-quality American Apparal shirts, and the fabrics are colorful, fun and modern.

Planet Pudge is the result of an over-caffeinated, creative-deprived mom in search of fun, modern clothes for her two little girls. Sick of the same old mass-produced stuff, I started fanatically drawing, cutting, obsessing over fabrics and hand-stitching everything (much to the dismay of my calloused middle finger). And voila, Planet Pudge was born. I try very hard to make each Planet Pudge creation one-of-a-kind, just like your mommy-worshiping, caterpillar-smooshing, homework-defying kid.

Shirt Review

We received the Girly Birthday Blow Out T-Shirt featuring four hand-sewn birthday candles, and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time as my daugther will be turning 4 at the end of this month. I am so impressed by the hand-stitching on the candles, and even more so by the fact that they hold up so well in the wash. I’ve washed the shirt three times inside out, on the gentle cycle and each candle is in perfect condition! Also noteworthy are the bright and festive fabrics featured on the tee. The fabrics are hip, modern, and definitely put a smile on my daughter’s face. We love this shirt so much that we’ve already ordered one for a friend’s upcoming 2nd birthday (we chose the adorable Birthday Train tee.)

The Blow Out tees are made to order: Just purchase either the Boy or Girl Blow Out T-Shirt listing at Planet Pudge, and indicate how many candles you’d like (up to 5 candles). Note: American Apparel tees run small, so consider ordering 1 or 2 sizes up — we received size 6T for my daugther, who is generally a perfect size 4T.
