Father’s Day is just around the corner, but it’s not too late to get the special dad in your life a great personalized gift from Things Remembered. I have to tell you that I still associate Things Remembered with high school – and getting an engraved ID bracelet with friends. Unlike some fads and shopping habits from high school I’d rather forget, Things Remembered is still a great source for thoughtful and personalized gifts. My husband got an early Father’s Day gift when we got to check out the Things Remembered BBQ Gift Set.

About the Things Remembered Grill Set

BBQ is serious business. Recipes, techniques, grills and smokers are family treasures closely guarded and passed from generation to generation. And every grillmaster, novice or expert, needs a great set of tools to call his own. This 4-piece set has everything you need: barbeque fork, tongs, basting brush and slotted spatula. The tools are housed in an attractive wooden box. Engrave it with his name and you’ll leave no doubt who’s King of the Grill.

Make It Personal

The BBQ Set can be personalized in two places – on the outside storage box and on the spatula. The process to personalize online is really simple and Things Remembered offers suggestions if you’re stumped. (For example, there are some sweet quotes about fathers that are nice for the box, or try a monogram for the spatula.) My husband’s set was engraved with his name on both the storage box and the spatula – not very creative, I know. But, the engraving looks great. It’s nice and centered. If anything, it could be a tad deeper to be more visible on the spatula.

The quality of the tools is top notch. They are sturdy and solid and are as useful as they are good looking. I like that the basting brush is silicone rather than traditional brush bristles. It’s much easier to clean that way! The ends of the tongs are serrated, making it easier to grasp things on the grill. The spatula is very generous in size – perfect for big homemade burgers. The tools are stainless steel, which I sometimes find hard to clean, but everything does look great.

Great Gifts

From the perspective of gift giving, one of the best things about the BBQ Set is that it comes in a really sharp looking box. It’s black and gray and certainly looks better than when I try to wrap things.

If you’re favorite dad isn’t an expert at the grill, never fear. Things Remembered has a wide assortment of gift suggestions for dads. To get started, check out the Who’s Your Daddy Quiz for some targeted gift selections. The selection is really impressive with everything from $20 money clips to gold pocket watches to cool gadgets.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… If you know a dad who loves to grill, the Things Remembered BBQ Gift Set is a great gift. Get creative and thoughtful with your engraving to make it more personal and it’s sure to be a hit.

Or Not to Buy… Um, it’s hard to complain about a gift that means someone will cook for you.
