If you are someone who swears by swaddling, than Koala Kuddles swaddle blankets are for you! My toddler was swaddled forever as a baby, and he also slept through the night at 2 weeks old. I am convinced it was because he was so happy all swaddled up! I wish I had these swaddle blankets by Koala Kuddles back then, but I do get to use them with my daughter now.
About Koala Kuddles, from the Creator
I moved from Sydney, Australia to Kansas with my family in 2005. When my baby boy was born in 2006, I was very surprised my American friends had never seen anything like the swaddling wraps (receiving blankets) I was using from home. After subsequently giving mine away, and my friends telling all their friends about them, I thought I would create and sell my own swaddles. And so Koala Kuddles was born! Now based out of Austin, these authentically Australian wraps make a wonderfully unique baby shower gift for a friend or your own baby! I hope you enjoy and cherish them as much we do in Australia!
Our Experience
Koala Kuddles Swaddling Blankets are made from a muslin ultra lightweight cotton, which is very breathable, and flexible for easy swaddling. If you are having a baby in the next few months as summer approaches, the weight of these blankets is perfect for warmer weather.
The blankets are also very versatile and can be used for quite a variety of things regarding baby. Just the other day I used it as a nursing cover as well. They are a great size, so can easily be used to cover baby while nursing, and can be used as a shade cover in the stroller or car seat. The fabric continues to get softer and softer with every wash. These blankets are sure to be a favorite for both baby and Mama!
To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… If you have a baby who loves to be swaddled, then there is no reason not to buy. My baby took a nice nap once she was happy in her Koala Kuddles blanket. The blankets are super soft, and will only continue to get softer as you wash. I love that the fabric is so breathable.
Or Not to Buy… Swaddling can be a bit overwhelming, so make sure to check out the video at Koala Kuddles on the proper technique. I was able to do it pretty well after watching the video and reading the instructions on the box, which were very easy to follow.

June 2, 2010Neither of my kids were big into swaddling, but it’s hard to find a good summer-weight blanket. These look great – big enough to go over the car seat and to use as a nursing cover.

June 2, 2010I will add that I am now using the Koala Kuddles blanket everyday over her carseat carrier. Great for creating some shade while being so breathable. Light enough of a blanket so she stays comfortable in air conditioned buildings while out and about!
