At least 4 days a week (when he’s in town) my husband packs leftovers for lunch. It saves money, is more healthy than eating out and avoids wasting food. The only negative aspect used to be that he’d bring his food on a plate or bowl from home and I can’t tell you how many of those never made it home. And, honestly, I never put much thought into a better alternative, but when I saw EasyLunchBoxes.com – it clicked. This is the perfect way for him to bring lunch to work with minimal effort on my part (and without losing a plate every day).
About Easy Lunch Boxes
The best lunch boxes are ones that allow you to pack lunches quickly, using your own healthy lunch recipes. EasyLunchboxes.com was born out of my response to disturbingly unhealthy school lunch programs. I resolved to send my kids to school with nutritious meals, using little to no wasteful packaging. And though I’m very concerned with my family’s health and nutrition, as a busy mom, I like to spend as little time as possible in the kitchen. I’m all about fresh, healthy and FAST.
Complete Lunch Box System
The Easy Lunch Boxes system consists of two parts – the 3 compartment food containers and lunch bag cooler. The Compartmentalized Food Containers are sold in packs of 4, are dishwasher and microwave safe and BPA-free. The large compartment is the perfect size for a sandwich (or as my husband usually uses it, left over main course). The smaller sections are great for sides or condiments. I really like that all the three sections stay separate – the lids go on tight and prevent leaking or food mixing. The Food Containers are not flimsy, either. They’re definitely more sturdy than some of the reusable plastic containers we have floating around in our kitchen. The Food Containers and the Lunch Bag Cooler come in neutral solid colors and the Cooler is very generously sized. It’s big enough to hold two Food Containers or a Food Container and an ice pack or a Food Container and a soda.
Pack Lunch Easily
Perfect for older children or adult lunches, the Easy Lunch Boxes really make packing a lunch simple. You don’t have to play seek and find for lids to match several food containers and you don’t waste plastic baggies. An added bonus is that the compartments are built in portion control.
I took photos of our Lunch Box System in use, but really these pictures are much more appetizing than my leftovers!
To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… Easy Lunch Boxes is a great system for older children and adults to easily pack lunch. It’s great for quickly making and packing a lunch for school or taking leftovers to work. It’s also very affordable – the entire set including four Food Containers is $22. I also love that it’s dishwasher safe and comes with 4 food containers so I don’t have to rush to hand wash the lunch box every night.
Or Not to Buy… The solid colors are great for adults, but a tad boring for kids. I’d love to see the Lunch Bag Coolers offered in fun patterns or brighter colors.
Shop! Check out EasyLunchBoxes.com where the Set of Four Food Containers is $13.95 and the Lunch Cooler Bag is $7.95. The Lunch Cooler Bag comes in five colors.
