One essential piece of baby gear is a baby carrier. Trust me, first baby, second baby or beyond – you really need to be hands free and nothing beats an easy-to-use versatile baby carrier. Suitable for babies from birth to 42 pounds and with the ability to convert to five different positions, the líllébaby EveryWear is a great option.
About líllébaby EveryWear
The innovative líllébaby EveryWear carrier is the very essence of adaptability; designed to be the only baby carrier you will ever need – without any accessory purchase required. This amazingly comfortable baby carrier with a sleek and sophisticated style cuts no corners.
5 Position Carrier
- Cradle - Use the JPMA approved Infant Insert (sold separately) to secure and support babies during the first three months of life in the cradle carry position;
- Front Face In – Popular way to carry young babies, and additional neck support and adjustable seat size make it easy to carry babies as small as 7 pounds. And, even my big 20 pound baby likes this when she’s tired;
- Front Face Out - When baby can support her head and wants to face forward this is a comfortable way to see the world;
- Hip – Convert it to a one-strap hip carrier, perfect for active toddlers;
- Back - Most comfortable for carrying bigger kids (the EveryWear accommodates up to 42 pounds) for long periods of time.
EveryWear Sport
Living in Florida, the EveryWear Sport was a natural choice for me. It’s make of a very lightweight mesh fabric without any fill to allow for breathability. The carrier is definitely much lighter than others I own, which is a plus no matter what climate you live. The waistband is made of a traditional fabric so it doesn’t breath and isn’t as light as the rest of the carrier. The Sport is a very versatile black and grey so every one can easily wear this EveryWear.
Using the EveryWear
I have to be very upfront and admit off the bat that, for me, this was not the easiest carrier to use out of the box. I had to actually read the instructions (gasp!) to make sure I was using it right and that the straps were on correctly. (Part of that is probably my fault because I fiddled with it before actually reading first.) Anyway, once I got the hang of it, the lillebaby has become a great go-to carrier. In fact, if you’re reading this post the day it goes live, I’m probably carrying my 18 month old around airports in my EveryWear. I love the flexibility of being able to carry either one of my children front, hip or back. When my daughter is more tired and needy the Front Facing In is ideal because she feels cuddled and supported and I love that she’s close. When she’s interested in what’s going on around us and with my son, the Back Carry is ideal. For quick on and off (like running into the grocery store), the Hip Carry is perfect. (Although, it does require adjusting the strap.)
W
ith a comfortable waist band and padded, adjustable shoulder straps the EveryWear is comfortable for parents to wear babies. But, it is also comfortable for babies and kids. The EveryWear has an adjustable seat so you can change the width of the bottom to make sure your child is sitting in an ergonomically correct position. For older kids, that means you can ensure your child is in the “spread-squat” position that’s best for their back and spine. I was surprised at how well my 30 pound 3 year old fits in the EveryWear and how comfortable we both were.

To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… It’s hard to argue with a carrier that does so much so well. The EveryWear also comes with a detachable and breathable mesh hood for sun protection and to enable sleep, as well as neck support for babies.
Or Not to Buy… I think because the EveryWear can do SO much, it is a bit more complicated with more straps and adjustments than other carriers that do less. I do find the back height supporting the child to be a bit lower than some other carriers – there is an infant neck support to provide more coverage.
Shop! The líllébaby EveryWear Sport is $100. The EveryWear is also available in Organic ($120) and Style ($100), which comes in Black, Red and Cocoa. The All-in-One Infant Insert is $25.95.
