Boon Oval Animal Bag Review + Giveaway (Closed)

Have I told you lately how much I love Boon? If not, then it’s about time for this review and giveaway. Boon is “committed to creating nothing but the most innovative gear—and keeping it affordable.” Hard to argue with that mission statement. And, it’s hard to argue with the Boon Oval Animal Bag. It’s a form of storage that puts the fun in functional.

About the Oval Animal Bag

This oversized, plush bag is covered with large, zippered windows made out of transparent, durable mesh. Children can fill the bag with stuffed animals of all sizes, and then use the Animal Bag as a soft seat. Made from high quality, breathable fabrics, the Animal Bag is machine washable, or it can be dry-cleaned.

Stuffed Animal Storage

I thought we had a lot of stuffed animals. Until I tried to fill the Oval Animal Bag. That thing is deceptively huge. It doesn’t take up much room on the floor, but it can hold oodles of stuffed animals. I seriously scoured the children’s bedrooms and the playroom for plush toys and there is plenty of room to spare. I was shocked at how much the bag holds. There are three zippered openings where you can put in and get out the toys are you need them. Because the openings are covered in mesh, you can see what’s right inside so when you’re searching for a particular toy you can open the right window instead of digging around endlessly.

The Oval Animal Bag comes in pink and green. I picked the pink to go in my daughter’s room, but since we’ve re-arranged to make a playroom, the Animal Bag lives in there. And, although I usually associate bright and bold colors with Boon, the pink is a pale subdued shade of pink.

Soft Seating

In addition to providing great storage for soft toys, the Animal Bag is also a soft place to sit or lay. The fabric is soft and minky-like so it really is comfortable to the touch. It’s also an unexpected and convenient place to set the laptop for Skyping with dad.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The Oval Animal Bag is a great way to wrangle all those pesky stuffed animals that deserve a nice home. Not only is it great storage, but the bag doubles as a comfy lounge chair for kids (and parents, too). Whether you have a large playroom or tight bedroom, the Oval Animal Bag is a multipurpose storage tool that is cute to boot.

Or Not to Buy… The $60 price tag might be an initial turn off, so you have to think of it as both storage and seating to justify the cost, I think.
