Wordless Wednesday: Air Show!

by Kate on April 13th, 2010 | 35 Comments » | In Weekly Features, Wordless Wednesday

I attended my first Air Show last weekend. We got to see a lot of pilots – including the Thunderbirds – practice on Friday but it didn’t make the actual show any less exciting. I really didn’t know what to expect, but it was awesome and so impressive.

Preschool Boy was dressed the part in his flight suit with his dad’s patches.

I was surprised to find a lot of fun stuff for kids to do. He loved “flight school” that was actually me pushing him around in this little plane since his feet didn’t reach the pedals.

And I think this looks like it was traumatizing, but he loved it and did the giant blow up slide over and over again.

And, of course there were planes there. Here are the Thunderbirds!

I look forward to seeing your photos!

I haven’t been to a lame air show yet. Some are just more fun than others depending on what they’ve got for the kids. If y’all are ever in Ohio, make sure to visit the AF museum at Wright-Patt. Your son would LOVE it. Mine did.

Who doesn’t love a guy in uniform?!? :-) What a cutie!

We used to see the Thunderbirds when we lived in Seattle and it was amazing. The cool part was seeing them downtown the few days beforehand!

  5. Oh, it looks like he had such a great time!
