Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Washington Show company are unleashing the ultimate Bat-gadget this rainy season with a rain collection inspired by the favorite DC Comics Super Hero, Batman. What better way for young boys to bring their Batman powers to the streets than with a hooded rain slicker with removable cape, Batman boots and a matching Batman umbrella to help them take flight in their adventures.

High Quality Rain Gear

I am the first to admit that when I see character clothes and gear, I walk the other way. Frankly, I think they sometimes lack quality and their only redeeming quality is the character that appeals to kids. That couldn’t be further from the truth for the awesome rain gear from Washington Shoe Company. Yes, it’s all super-hero-ified with Batman symbol and imagery, but the quality is truly top notch. We received rain gear to keep Preschool Boy dry from head to toe: a raincoat, rain boots and an umbrella.

The raincoat is fabulous. It’s so well made – thick lining, quality materials, and a great fit (size 3T). Preschool Boy’s favorite part is obviously the attached cape. The cape buttons to the top of the neckline and even has loops on the bottom of the cape so you can loop your arms through it to make the cape extend and help you fly (or whatever it is that Batman does and my 3 year old is pretending to do.) The cape is removable so your little super hero can play even when it’s not raining.

The rain boots fit pretty true to size and are surprisingly easy to get on and off. There are great loops on top of the boots so even my son can get them on by himself. The umbrella is the perfect size for a pint sized super hero and apparently it’s lot of fun, too. Preschool Boy tries to convince me its raining inside our house so that he can open it and use it.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The Batman rain gear is not your average kiddie character stuff. It’s high quality rain gear that is built to last until your super hero outgrows his bat wings. If you only buy one piece of rain gear, my favorite is the raincoat.

Or Not to Buy… The quality is impressive and its reflected in the price tag. But, like I said, this is not your typical character stuff.

The raincoat is available in size 2T to 6X with a suggested retail price of $50. The boots are for little feet in children’s sizes 5 – 13 and youth sizes 1 – 4 for $36.95.  The umbrella is $16.
