Oh just you wait until she does talk, you will wish it took longer! :) My daughter is 13 months and has about a 15 word vocabulary. Though some are more like sounds than words, her own way of saying things. I just love watching her learn! Isn't it fun?

I also wouldn't worry! She's young and seems to be making sounds and interacting well... my son was pretty much in the same boat and now at 2.5 he never stops talking!

i wouldn't worry about her not having many words at this point. During these young months children vary so much in what they can and can not do and one week can make a huge difference in their abilities. As long as she is interacting with you, as she obviously is, I don't think there is cause for alarm...and its what will eventually show her how to do it

My son has started spouting everything under the sun and he just turned 21m. I think there's no cause for concern at this point. If by two she's still in the same area, then maybe bring it up to the pediatrician, but for now just have fun w/it!

My son is 19 months and is just now really trying to say new words. He babbles non-stop like he's having a real conversation with us. He totally knows what he is saying! Just learned no this week. Fun times! LOL

But, he really only says - mom, dad, sissy, daisy, dog, cat, sh*it (yep...I need to watch that one!) and a few other words. Not too worried...I know he'll explode one of these days!

I have a feeling when she finally does start talking she's going to speak in complete sentences and we won't be able to get a word in edgewise.

Ya, ours doesn't really say "dada" - for a while we thought she called my husband "baba" but quickly realized she calls everything "baba"!

I figured some of it is due to having a talkative older brother. But she definitely does her fair share of grunting and pointing when she wants something - saying a couple words would be so much easier on both of us!
