As you know, I was a little anxious about our holiday plane travel with the kiddos. I think it was just something about the time of year – knowing all the stuff we’d be taking and all the holiday traffic – that had me worried. With carry on and luggage space at a premium, we had to be selective about what we lugged with us from Florida to Ohio. (You’d never know we were selective by the way when we traveled with no fewer than 2 car seats, 4 checked bags, 1 carry on, 2 back packs and 1 diaper bag!) Even with all that stuff, Preschool Boy’s Zoobie Pet made the cut and took the journey with us.
What is a Zoobie Pet?
Zoobies were created by two young brothers who shared a similar desire to invent something for kids that was fun, innovative and functional. Growing up with seven other siblings, they know what children like. Zoobie Pets became something fun for kids and useful for parents when on the road or at home.
We have spared no expense in making Zoobies the cutest, most lovable plush animals in the animal kingdom. Our collections comes in a bright, multi-colored sets that will be appealing to all children. Additionally each animal has been tagged and collared and comes complete with their unique eye and ear stitching.
Our Experience
I was pretty much in love with the Zoobies from the first time I checked out the website. There’s a great selection of adorable animals (out of stock Zoobies are marked “extinct” ) grouped into different collections (like Safari, Zoo and Bug).
I wasn’t disappointed when Kojo the Croc arrived. The stuffed animal is plush, soft and VERY easy to change from animal to pillow to blanket. There are two velcro straps that connect under the belly to make the switch from animal to pillow. And, a zipper along the body of the croc opens to reveal the blanket. One brilliant design feature is that the blanket can be completely unzipped for easy machine washing. The blanket itself is also much larger than I expected (53 x 34 inches) and is more than big enough to cover Preschool Boy.

Recommended for Travel
I think this is a great comfort item for travel because it is so many things in one (relatively) small package. Preschool Boy was in charge of his Croc from door to door and he had no trouble carrying it by himself and enjoyed cuddling with it on the plane and in the car. I love that he had a toy, pillow and blanket that I didn’t have to carry.
To Buy or Not to Buy
To Buy… Obviously, I think this is an ideal product for travel. But, whether you have travel on the horizon or not, it’s a great find. A Zoobie Pet would certainly be a fun gift for a young kid and is recommended for kids 3 and up.
Or Not to Buy…I’m having a hard time coming up with a negative. Seriously.
Shop! Zoobie Pets can be purchased online and range in price from $32 to $34. The so cute baby Zoobies are only $25.

January 8, 2010I happen to think they’re great, I was going to buy them for my sisters kids before her cross country move. The one thing that bothered me though was that the pillow wasnt too cushy without the blanket.
