Nap Nanny is an amazing mom-invention that I first discovered at the ABC Kids Expo where I had the pleasure of speaking with creator Leslie Gudel. When her infant daughter wouldn’t sleep in anything but her car seat or swing, and baby sleep “wedges” didn’t work, Leslie invented the Nap Nanny.
What is Nap Nanny?The Nap Nanny® is made of high density foam with car seat-like contours, a super-soft, washable designer cover, and a special safety harness to secure the child so she can sleep at an incline. When I saw the Nap Nanny, I immediately thought of my dear friend whose first daughter suffered from reflux. Her doctor recommended the baby sleep at an angle. My friend tried everything to help her baby sleep comfortably from phone books under the crib mattress to a car seat to bouncers and swings. I like the design and comfort for the baby’s sleeping. I really like the sage color cover.
I love how much my daugher, who has reflux and reoccuring colds, loves her Nap Nanny! She doesn’t even want me to rock her to sleep anymore, she just wants in her Nap Nanny and falls fast asleep within minutes of getting in it.
I love the pink confetti. I love that this helps reduce reflux. My daughter has apnea secular to GERD and has to sleep in her swing which she is getting a little too big for. Sleep positioners and wedges just don’t cut it anymore. This product will help reduce the amount of apnea spells my daughter has. It really would help me sleep just a little bit easier at night. I would love to know that she is in a healthy position and I don’t have to worry.
I am intrigued with the Nap Nanny as when my daughter was a newborn 6 years ago she suffered from reflux and I was told to raise the head of her mattress. Needless to say it didn’t work-I would have loved to have tried the Nap Nanny! The elevated design is a great idea and the way it cradles the baby must make them feel much more secure. This design appears to be more safe for SIDS as well. My daughter unfortunately passed away at 3 months to SIDS. Now my step-daughter is having her 1st baby and I would love to be able to give her a Nap Nanny for her baby boy. I think the Nap Nanny would make her and I feel that her precious baby is sleeping in comfort and safety. She’s going to need all the help she can get!
