We’re Home from Disney. And I am Tired.

Our trip to Walt Disney World was amazing. We all had a blast, but oh my gosh, was it ever tiring! We found ourselves on a “vacation” schedule of staying up too late, sleeping in a bit and napping late in the afternoon. And even though the three adults got a nap nearly every day I think we are more worn out than the kids!

I am planning to write posts to summarize our visits to the parks, our meals and other good stuff to know. But if you’re going any time soon, just know that our trip was better than we imagined.
And, know these things:
* It was farking hot. H-O-T. Hot. And we live in Florida, but holy mother of God I never thought it would be so unbelievably warm at the end of September.
* There’s one scooter / hover-round / motorized wheeler for every stroller. I’m not exaggerating.
* Ohana at the Polynesian was delish. So freaking yummy. It was all of our favorite meal. Hands down.
* Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party was a bit of a disappointment.
* Bring your mom. It was so nice to have the extra adult and outnumber the kids 3 to 2.

Not surprisingly, I have about a million and one photos to share (I’ve got Wordless Wednesday covered for the next year) but this is one of my favorites.

Tell Me! If you’ve been to Disney lately, what is one thing that surprised you? If you’re planning a visit, what are you most interested in hearing about?

    I'm glad to hear you had a good time! We are planning on taking the twins in a couple of years. Hopefully when they're two (am I crazy?!). I'd love to hear about the best toddler friendly parks other than DW! Sea World?!

    We went Saturday to see the new Tinkerbell movie premiere. I was also surprised at the heat! We live close to Sarasota, so I should be used to it, but this was unreal! The wait times weren't that bad either- maybe we hit it at the right time. We are going back this weekend! Love having annual passes!!! Glad you had a great trip!

    Oh, I wish we could go back to Disney World. I love every part of the park. The pic in front of Cinderella's castle is very nice.

    I am shocked the Mickey Not So Scary party was a disappointment. We went this year and LOVED it. We would totally go again next year. We are actually planning a week long vacay around it!

      I know a lot of people loved the Not so Scary Halloween Party, but we just didn’t. I think the problem was that we had really high expectations, and based on what we’d read going in we expected something different.

      For example, we read that it was a great way to mingle and get face time with the characters and ride rides as there are limited tickets (so in theory less people). But, in reality, the Party was the most crowded thing we did all week – by far. I think we just had unrealistic expectations based on what we’d read about it so we were disappointed.
