Plasma Car Review

I don’t know who was more excited when the PlasmaCar was delivered – Toddler Boy or me. Okay, yes I do. Clearly, I was the most excited. Toddler Boy had no idea the fun and play in his future.

About PlasmaCar
The PlasmaCar is a mechanical marvel that makes use of that most inexhaustible of energy sources, kid-power, by harnessing the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, and friction. It’s so easy to operate; all it needs is a driver and a smooth, flat surface.

PlasmaCar is straight up fun ride-on toy. We’ve been using the PlasmaCar for a couple of weeks and our entire neighborhood has joined in the fun. It quickly gathers attention and every one – kids and adults alike – have given it a whirl. My husband is close to the 220 pound weight limit and it doesn’t work nearly as well for his as it does for my 30 pound 2.5 year old. Seriously, though he is younger than the 3 year old recommended age, Toddler Boy rocks the PlasmaCar. He totally loves it. Although, my sweet little guy calls it his “Plastic Car,” which is actually correct since it’s made of solid, durable plastic.

To get the PlasmaCar moving, you simply move the steering wheel from side to side. I’m not going to get into the scientific stuff about how it actually works because, frankly, I haven’t got a clue. All I know is it’s super easy. Toddler Boy caught on and had it rolling in about 3 minutes. I don’t know about him, but for me it takes a little muscle to get it moving so I think an added bonus for adults is an upper arm and shoulder work out.

You may recall that we recently ripped up the carpet in the majority of our house, but it turns out the silver lining to that chaos was the perfectly smooth and flat concrete floor – the perfect surface for riding the PlasmaCar! PlasmaCar has requested that I not use photos of Toddler Boy since he’s below the recommended age, so you will have to suffer through a video of ME!

To Buy… The PlasmaCar is a blast. I cannot tell you how much fun we’ve had. Seriously, everyone in the family from Toddler Boy to my mom has taken a spin on this toy and it results in nothing but a big smile.

Or Not to Buy… If you don’t have a safe, flat surface to use the PlasmaCar it might be frustrating and not worth it. I noticed a huge difference between using it on our flat, concrete floor and the road in front of our house.
