Wordless Wednesday: Sweet Nursery

by Kate on July 22nd, 2009 | 20 Comments » | In Weekly Features, Wordless Wednesday
Last week I blogged about finally (eight months later) putting a finishing touch on Baby Girl’s nursery. Honestly, her room is probably my favorite in the house so here are a few more photos.
And, yes, it also doubles as the guest room which shall be interesting when my mom visits in a couple weeks. Haven’t quite figured that out yet!

Of course, I have to include a photo (or two) of the sweet girl who rests her little dreadlock covered head in this room.

Cute! I love the pink and green colors. I can totally see this being MY favorite room too. And your little girl is adorable. : ) Enjoy.

This room is seriously gorgeous (as is the baby who sleeps in it of course)! I love the stripes on one wall. We had talked about doing that for our girls' room but I was so nervous about the stripes ending up crooked. Yours look perfect! Do you mind sharing what is framed above the crib? The walls in my girls' room are totally empty and we've been looking into what to do. My top choice right now is to order a stencil of the quote about sisters from Little Women ("I could never love anyone more than I love my sisters").

    Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Thanks! Here are some of the details:

For the stripe wall, we used a laser level to place the lines of tape on the wall. It worked really well and I don't know how we would have done it without that! And by we I mean my husband and father in law who did all the painting.

The thing above the crib is a mirror I bought at a flea market for like 5 Euro in Germany. It has a quote from Winnie the Pooh in vinyl letters. It says, "If you live one hundred years, I want to live one hundred years minus one day so I never have to live without you."

Beautiful room…and I am sure your mom will absolutely love being your cute baby girl's room-mate :o )

The two photos of her in her crib are so cute… with her surprised look… like "what's goin on?"
and the next one with her happy smile.

    Blessings & Aloha!

I am jealous of her room! It turned out just beautiful! Though not as beautiful as the little girl using it!
