Happy Fourth of July!
And, now let’s give a big Shopping Mama welcome to Celeste of Etsy It Up! I probably don’t have to tell you that her awesome blog features great Etsy sellers, including reviews and giveaways. She’s a real doll and was so much fun to work with during the It’s in the Bag giveaway bash. Here’s her take on why Etsy is SO great!
First of all, let me just say that I’m so excited to be doing my first guest post! (Thanks for the opportunity Kate!)
You may remember my
blog (Etsy It Up!) from the
It’s in the Bag bash that Kate & I hosted last month, that was a lot of fun wasn’t it? Well, Kate has asked me to share with you all a bit more about why I love
Etsy so much! I suppose the simple answer to that question is – who doesn’t right?! I first came across Etsy last year, and I was amazed with all of the gorgeous items that people made and the level of talent that they all had. I wanted to be able to get the word out about these great shops, so I decided starting a blog dedicated to promoting Etsy shops and small, online businesses would be a great way to do that (not to mention fun for me too!).
I must say that I have developed a few favorite Etsy shops. Both of these lady’s shops I found via their wonderful blogs – both of which I am a “dedicated” follower. :)
First,
The Vintage Pearl. Oh how I love Erin’s designs! Her jewelry has such a lovely simple elegance to them…I am a huge “hand-stamped-silver-person” – so her items are right up my alley.

Really – you need to check out
The Vintage Pearl Also, the
Vintage Pearl blog is a must-visit as well; Erin takes
gorgeous photos and has some of the cutest kids ever!!
Another one of my faves is *Shey* [B]. If you have a camera that has a strap, then you need one Shealynn’s camera strap slipcovers!! I’m getting a new DSLR soon, and before anything else – I got one of her slipcovers…it’s just waiting to be used :) Shealynn has tons of fun fabrics to choose from – you might just be tempted to buy a few!
Shealynn’s blog is also a favorite of mine! She takes some great pictures too! So after you get your strap cover, head over there! :)
So, do you have any favorite Etsy shops?
Let me know! I need ideas for shops to feature on Etsy It Up!
P.S. I’ve got some great giveaways going @ Etsy It Up! :)

What a great blog! Im a follower now! :)
I'm very new to blogging and also at the same time new to Etsy! (this is saying a lot considering I am computer challenged!… but learning :o)
As I said "new to blogging & etsy", but not new to the art that I do entirely done using ANY name and of ANY subject. With my hubby in the Air Force and then Army to fly helicopters, I have and continue to do a lot of military related art (farewell gifts, promotion, retirements, etc)… but I do a lot of other subjects, such as those for babies, with all their birth info.
So, hope you take a peek and if you do, please let me know.
Blessings& Aloha!
Maria
Thanks for letting me know about all these great shops!!
I could spend hours just cruising on Etsy. Does anyone know of any good art sites on there?
