Boon Products Make Mealtime Easier + Giveaway (Closed)

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that mealtime with kids presents numerous challenges. You have to prepare food, hope your kid will eat, help your kid eat, clean the inevitable mess… I’m sure I’ve left things out! That’s why it’s important to have the right tools to help mealtime go more smoothly. Boon has awesome, innovative products that do just that. We had the opportunity to try some and you now have the chance to win one!

The Catch Bowl is a bowl with a flexible spill catcher that catches all the food that doesn’t quite make it to your little one’s mouth. It literally funnels falling, dripping good back into the bowl. Intended for kids 9 months and older and kids learning to feed themselves it’s the perfect bowl for 2.5 year old Toddler Boy when he’s eating liquid or messy food. As you can see from the photos, it saved Toddler Boy’s clothes, the kitchen table and the floor from countless drips of yogurt.

A set of fork and spoon, the Benders are adaptable utensils designed for little ones learning to self feed. The end of the utensils can, well, bend to an angle that makes it easier for the food to actually make it into the mouth. Right handed or left or totally unsure? These adjust to your kid’s grip. And, as your child becomes more adept at eating you can correct the angle until the utensils are straight. Toddler Boy is accustomed to feeding himself with a traditional fork and spoon so we dont’ need to bend these for him, but he still uses them. I’ve also found the spoon to be a GREAT size for feeding Baby Girl. It’s smaller than a lot of utensils intended for babies which is perfect for early eating.

My absolute favorite of the Boon product we tried is the Squirt. This food dispensing spoon holds 3 ounces of food in a bulb that you squeeze onto an attached spoon. Before using it, I loved the idea but wasn’t sure how it would actually work. My fears were unfounded because it’s awesome. It’s really easy to control how much food comes out of the bulb so you don’t waste food and don’t make a mess. Perfect for purees, the opening is rather small, so I can’t imagine we’ll be able to use it when Baby Girl starts eating thicker foods. My favorite aspect of the Squirt is that you can fill it will food, put on the cap, throw it in your diaper bag and you are ready to feed on the go. That’s right, only ONE gadget to feed your baby.

To Buy… In addition to being genius, the Boon products in this review are BpA, Phthalate and PVC-free. They’re also dishwasher safe.

Or Not to Buy… After thinking on it for a bit, the only issue we encountered with the Boon products is that the cap to the Squirt is a tad difficult to attach.

Shop! Boon products can be purchased at http://www.booninc.com/. The Catch Bowl is $7, Benders are $6 the Squirt is $8.

Win! Your choice of the Catch Bowl, Benders or Squirt!
