As the mom of a Toddler Boy and a Baby Girl we have yet to enter the world of trading cards but our close friends’ daughters were very excited with the two Bella Sara Royalty Card Packs I gave them. Apparently well known among young girls like our friends, Bella Sara is the most successful trading card product ever created for girls. Indeed, over 83 million cards have been sold to date!

Haven’t heard of Bella Sara? Here are the basics, from the website:
Bella Sara is a safe, fun-filled magical world of horses and other characters for children ages 5 and up to expand their imaginations. Originally launched in Denmark by Gitte Odder Braendgaard, Bella Sara inspires pro-social dialogue and inspirational thought with positive messages. …Bella Sara products come with positive messaging and a secret code that expands a child’s experience with a virtual online world. By entering these secret codes at BellaSara.com, children can enhance their online and offline experiences with games, activities, and caring for their magical horses.

Bella Sara recently launched the the ninth series called Royalty which explores royal life and castles in the ficticious magical land North of North. The namesake, Sara, is introduced on her own card. In addition to the new characters, the Bella Sara website also recently launched new elements and games for online play.

So based on my friend’s report, the girls like the cards and the interactive play on the computer. They like that the cards come with codes that can be used online to unlock and reveal new items. My friend likes it because it encourages the girls to use their imaginations and has a positive message.

Shop! Bella Sara trading cards come in sets of five, retail for $2.99 and are suggested for girls five and older.
