Stellar Trends: Hairbows & More + Giveaway

by Kate on May 19th, 2009 | 121 Comments » | In Uncategorized

Stellar Trends offers things “inspired by little ones for little ones,” and specializes in handmade hair bows. Shannon, the mom of two little girls, started making (and selling!) hair accessories in April of 2008. Not surprisingly, she sites her adorable daughters as the inspiration behind her bows.

Stellar Trends was kind enough to send along several bows for Baby Girl. We received two small clips, two flower loop hairbows and a headband. The clips are sweet and simple and are the perfect accessory for everyday and keeping Baby Girl’s hair out of her eyes. (I might be a tad optimistic, but I like to think her hair is getting to the point where she needs something to keep her hair out of her eyes.)

The flower loop bows are really unique and fun. We received one attached to an alligator clip (in the photo) and another attached to a spring clip and you can order them either way through Stellar Trends. The flower loop bows are Shannon’s favorite item to make and I think they’re my favorite item at Stellar Trends. I particularly like the Amy Butler clip – so, so cute!

Stellar Trends bows are well made, bright and cheerful. If your little girl doesn’t have enough hair for a clip? Don’t worry, you can request hairbands to which you can attach bows.

Like all the moms featured this week, Shannon is married to the military. Read a bit more about her take on military life.

TSM: How long has your husband been in the military?
My husband has been in the US Coast Guard for almost 12 years. He went off to boot camp the month after we met.
TSM:What is your favorite part about being a “military mom”?
I love seeing new places. I love the fact that my kids will get to experience new cultures and go to many different places before we settle down in one place.
TSM: I also love that my kids will get to see the world. We took my son to get a passport photo when he was literally days old – I didn’t get one until I was 19!

TSM: What has been the biggest adjustment to military life?
Having children but not being close to family. It’s so hard when you have to rely on email and webcams for our parents to see and communicate with our children.

In addition to sponsoring a review and giveaway, Shannon made a generous donation to The Fisher House. She chose to donate to The Fisher House because she knows how much a sick loved one needs the comfort of family in their time of need. “The military lifestyle is hard enough on a day to day basis without having to sacrifice even more in time of sickness.”
