In 2002 I gave birth to a little boy named Kai. Two years later, I gave birth to a company called See Kai Run. See Kai Run was inspired by the need for comfortable shoes with flexible soles for my little Kai to wear outdoors. I wanted to create a line of shoes that was as happening as Kai – bold, hip, fun, with an urban sensibility. Something entirely different than what was offered.
We received the Grayson brown sandal shoes for Toddler Boy. The first thing I noticed was how soft the leather is. We had a pair of similarly styled shoes last year from another company and the leather was stiff and needed to be broken in. But, I think only grown women need to suffer for fashion and not my little boy. Needless to say, I was really pleased that our See Kai Run shoes needed no breaking in and were ready to wear comfortably.
A nice bonus See Kai Run shoes is that they have a velcro closure. This is the first pair of shoes that Toddler Boy has been able to put on by himself! What a nice bonus for me. The soles of the shoes are rugged and perfect for running around this summer. Here’s a picture of Toddler Boy’s shoes after over a month of wear and tear – they look as good as they did the day we took them out of the box.
But, let’s be honest. Even with all the benefits of See Kai Run shoes, we wouldn’t want them if they weren’t cute. And See Kai Run shoes are cute cute cute! I love this pair of Sara sandals, and I’m not the only one. Halle Barry’s daughter was recently spotted sporting these gems.
