I won a giveaway on the Jolly Mom blog. Woo hoo. And, can I tell you how excited I am about getting the So Easy Baby Food kit? It’s an awesome set of covered freezer food storage trays, a cook book and an instructional DVD. I actually bought and used the covered food storage trays when I made Toddler Boy’s baby food.
I remember a friend telling me she was making baby food for her daughter and I thought she was nuts. I assumed it was a ton of work and I just didn’t know how I would make the time with a baby. But, in actually, it’s totally doable and making Toddler’s Boy gave me a real sense of pride. I loved knowing exactly what was in the food he was eating because *I* made it. (I so wish I had access to our external hard drive right now because there are pictures of our freezer full of frozen squares of very colorful baby food!) I look forward to making Baby Girl’s food when she starts solids in a month or two.
I’ll admit it does take a bit of a time commitment, and I’m nervous about finding that extra time with a toddler and a baby in the house. The way I think of it, though, is that I find time to cook dinner for the rest of the family so I can take the time to cook for my baby, too.
