The creative woman who made both Toddler Boy and Baby Girl’s birth announcements (not to mention all of our beautiful wedding paper goods) introduced me to The Spotted Box and I am so excited to share it with all of you.
The Spotted Box is “a box of family-oriented, eco-friendly samples from independent crafters, all packaged together and sent directly to you! Designed with the young family in mind, these handmade samples are focused on children and their mothers.” Tory Wright started selling The Spotted Box in September of 2007 because there were so many stores on Hyena Cart that she wanted to try but couldn’t afford to try everything. (I wasn’t familiar with Hyena Cart until I began reading up on The Spotted Box and I fear it may be as addicting as Etsy.)
Tory said, “I am always so thrilled when someone includes a sample in their packages so how great would a box of those be?” I couldn’t agree more! There are two box sizes available. The standard box includes at least 25 samples and sells for $15 and the mini is $8 and has at least 12 samples from various independent artisans.
The Boxes are VERY popular. They are sold on the 15th of the month on both Hyena Cart and Etsy and literally sell out within minutes. I am so grateful to Tory for setting aside a March box for me! And, I’m particulcarly excited about the March box because it includes some paper goodness from Dfmi Designs.
