The Consumer Products Safety Commission on Friday announced a year long stay on the enforcement of the CPSIA! Our favorite manufacturer’s of children’s products can continue to create without the overwhelming testing and certification requirements that were to go into effect February 10. (Read more details here.) As a shopaholic of handmade children’s toys and clothes, I think this is great news. Let’s celebrate the good news by shopping for some handmade toys, shall we?
I just love the balls and teethers at Little Poppy Shop. Jamie, the creator of all these little gems, says her “ultimate goal is to make toys and clothing that [her son] and other babies and toddlers will love that are completely safe.” All the toys are made of 100% cotton that is safe for babies skin and have small little jingle bells inside. I appreciate that all the fabrics are adorable and not over-the-top babyish and that the noise is subtle and not totally annoying.
My favorites are the Large Balls with Amy Butler fabric. In fact, Baby Girl will soon be playing with her very own rag ball.
To celebrate the delay of the CPSIA, Little Poppy Shop is giving one lucky reader two teething rattles!
